摘要： A birefringent quartz plate is inserted in the laser cavity to generate two orthogonal polarized beams with different frequencies, and with the amount of frequency difference depending upon the angle of orientation of the crystalline axis of the quartz plate with respect to the longitudinal axis of the laser beam in the cavity. Frequency differences between the generated dual frequency beams can be varied from tens of MHz to more than 1000 MHz, with tuning or variation being effected by a mechanism for rotating the quartz plate. This apparatus provides a dual-frequency laser for interferometry, laser Doppler velocimeters and other applications.

摘要： This invention relates to a diagnostic apparatus and particularly to an apparatus for the diagnosis of malignant tumor and the method of using the apparatus for diagnosis. The apparatus employs an ultraviolet light source with an emitting waveband of 3000A-4000A. Light from the light source is transmitted through a bundle of quartz optic fibers to the surface of the tumor, whether benign or malignant, to stimulate it, which then generates a specific intrinsic fluorescence spectrum. The intrinsic fluorescence spectrum reflected from the surface of the tumor is transmitted by a second bundles of glass fibers placed near it to a color resolution means, then processed by a scanning means and a circuit means, and displayed recorded by a display recording means. The display may be a graphic presentation of the intrinsic fluorescence spectrum of the tumor that is tested. If the graphic presentation displayed includes a single peak within the range of the blue color band, it indicates that the tumor being tested is benign. If however, a second peak appears within the range of the red color band of the graphic presentation it is a characteristic peak of malignancy, indicating the existence of a malignant tumor. The presence of the red color can be established by eye rather than a complex color resolution system.

摘要： The invention provides a coating composition that provides high brightness, high gloss and superior print quality. The coated product comprises a substrate coated on at least one side with a coating composition comprising a pigment component and a binder component that is made of mixture of two binder resins. Both binder resins are capable of film forming. The first binder resin provides coating gloss and adhesion properties and the second binder resin enhances coating porosity, adhesion, and anti-static properties. The first binder resin that is used at 60-95% by weight of the total binder resin blend is selected from the group consisting of vinyl acetate acrylate, styrene acrylate and styrene butadiene acrylic copolymers. The second binder resin that is used at 5-40% by weight of the total binder resin blend is selected from the group consisting of anion type polystyrene derivatives, polyethylene glycol and polypropylene glycol.
