摘要： The present invention relates to a motion vector encoding/decoding method and device and an image encoding/decoding method and device using the same. The invention provides the motion vector encoding method comprising the steps of: selecting a predictive motion vector candidate set which includes one or more predictive motion vector candidates for a block; determining a search range for the predictive motion vector candidate set; selecting one predictive motion vector candidate of the one or more predictive motion vector candidates as a predictive motion vector candidate in accordance with each search point, according to the image decoding device and a first determination standard which is previously appointed for each search point within the search range; determining a predictive motion vector, a differential motion vector, and a current motion vector by selecting one predictive motion vector candidate of the predictive motion vector candidates in accordance with each search point, according to the image decoding device and a second determination standard which is not previously appointed; and generating and encoding the differential motion vector as motion information. According to the present invention, motion vectors are encoded by using more accurate predictive motion vectors, and there is no need to add information for identifying the predictive motion vectors to the encoded data, thereby improving the motion vector encoding efficiency.

摘要： The present invention relates to an image encoding/decoding method and device using coefficients of an adaptive interpolation filter. The image encoding device of the present invention comprises: a coefficient calculator for calculating coefficients of an adaptive interpolation filter of a current frame; an image encoder for interpolating a reference frame by using the coefficients of the adaptive interpolation filter, and for encoding the current frame by using the interpolated reference frame; a filter flag encoder for generating and encoding a flag with/without a coefficient inserted as a filter flag, based on the coefficient of the adaptive interpolation filter of the current frame; a coefficient encoder for encoding the coefficient of the adaptive interpolation filter of the current frame, if the flag with a coefficient inserted is the filter flag; and a bit-stream generator for generating and outputting a bit stream, the bit stream including the encoded current frame, the encoded filter flag and additionally the coefficient of the adaptive interpolation filter of the encoded current frame. According to the present invention, encoding efficiency or compression efficiency can be improved by reducing a bit amount for the adaptively determined coefficient of a filter, while encoding an image through the adaptive determination of the coefficient of an interpolation filter.

The apparatus for generating a reference frame according to the present invention comprises: an interpolation unit for interpolating a reference frame by fractional pixel units; a virtual encoding unit for determining a block mode of the present frame and a motion vector according to the block mode by using the interpolated reference frame; an offset calculation unit for calculating an offset for each pixel of the interpolated reference frame by using the block mode and the motion vector; and an offset adding unit for adding offsets for each pixel to each pixel of the interpolated reference frame to generate an offset interpolated reference frame. The present invention adds the offset calculated in accordance with the block mode to the reference frame for inter-prediction to make the reference frame to be used in a motion estimation and compensation similar to the present frame to be encoded, thereby improving the accuracy of prediction, and thus improving encoding efficiency and compression efficiency.
