    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fluororesin organosol, which produces, at a relatively low temperature, the fluororesin organosol in which a fluorine-containing copolymer (ETFE) containing a repeating unit based on ethylene and a repeating unit based on tetrafluoroethylene is dispersed in a high concentration and homogeneously in an organic medium; a fluororesin organosol produced by the method; and a coating composition containing the fluororesin organosol as a main component.SOLUTION: A method for producing a fluororesin organosol uses ETFE as a dispersoid and a solvent capable of dissolving the ETFE at a temperature equal to or lower than the melting point of the ETFE as a disperse medium, and includes: a dissolution step of dissolving ETFE in the solvent to make a solution; a deposition step of depositing the ETFE in the solution in the solvent as microparticles; and a crushing and dispersing step of applying a high shear force to a mixture of the solvent containing ETFE as microparticles and ETFE, to homogeneously disperse the ETFE microparticles in the solvent.
