    • PURPOSE:To improve the stability of an engine by setting the maximum operating current and the minimum operating current of an electric air quantity controlling valve in accordance with the load of the engine, in the titled air-fuel ratio controller for controlling the air-fuel ratio on the basis of the output signal of an O2 senser. CONSTITUTION:An air-fuel controlling air inlet port 21 is provided in a suction pipe 2, and is connected to an electric air quantity controlling valve 72 through an air inlet path 71. An exhaust manifold 41 is provided with an O2 senser 5, and the up and down movement of a valve part 722 is carried out by an output signal from the O2 senser 5 in a cyclic manner. In a control circuit 6, the maximum operating current and the minimum operating current of the electric air quantity control valve 72 is determined in accordance with the opening degree signal, and the control valve 72 does not open at an opening degree more than that in response to the maximum operating current and the minimum operating current. By this arrangement, introduction of air in an excessive quantity is prevented, and hence too much lean air-fuel ratio can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the abrasion of an ignition plug by a method wherein a power transistor, intermitting the primary current thereof by the signal of an ignition signal generator is connected with the control circuit of an upper dead point signal generator detecting the position by synchronizing with a crank shaft and the ignition after the upper dead point is interrupted. CONSTITUTION:When the contact 3 of a breaker is closed by closing a switch 2, a current is flowed from a transistor 5 to the primary side of an ignition coil 10 through a power transistor 8 while a high voltage is generated at the secondary side of the coil 10 when the contact 3 is opened, and thereby effecting the ignition. On the other hand, the signal of a disc 3a rotating synchronously with the contact 3 is sensed by a senser 3b and a signal with respect to the position of the upper dead point is outputted. Accordingly, a monostable multivibrator 122 is brought to a low level, a transistor 124 is put ON and the connecting point of a resistor 126 and a capacitor 125 is brought to a high level, therefore, a voltage is generated at the output 12b of a control circuit 12 and a current is flowed to the transistor 8 gradually. The voltage of the transistor 8 is changed in the wave form thereof by the current from the transistor 5 and the control circuit 12 whereby the voltage of the secondary side of the ignition coil 10 is interrupted at the upper dead point.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent consumption of a plug electrode in the ignition method where high voltage is generated in a secondary coil by disconnection of electric conduction in a primary coil, by electrically conducting the primary coil again in the vicinity of the top dead center and interrupting a firing spark. CONSTITUTION:A transistor 5 is turned on by closing of a breaker contact 3 to allow an electric current to flow in the primary side of an ignition coil 10, and turned off by the next opening of the contact, if the primary current is cut off, high voltage is generated at this moment in the secondary side to cause a spark. On the other hand, a position signal of the top dead center (TDC) detected by a sensor 3b of a disc 3a passes through an AND gate 123 together with a pulse, generated in the first monostable multivibrator 122 after the opening of the contact 3, to turn on a power transistor 8, then the high voltage is dissipated at a steep gradient. Simultaneously a transistor 133 is turned on the allow an electric current to flow in the primary coil and charge a capacitor 135, then the current is gradually decreased not to cause high voltage in the secondary side.
