    • A cosmetic implant comprises a filament made from a biocompatible elastomer. The elastomeric filament can be injected or pulled under one or more wrinkles. Once implanted under the wrinkle(s), the filament lifts and supports the tissue above it. Such lifting lessens (and possibly removes altogether) the appearance of the wrinkle(s). The biocompatible elastomeric filament is preferably made from a polyolefinic copolymer material having a triblock polymer backbone comprising polystyrene-polyisobutylene-polystyrene, which is herein referred to as “SIBS”; or alternatively can be made from silicon rubber, expanded polytetrafluorethelyene (ePTFE), polyurethane, polyolefin, copolymers of nylon, copolymers of polyester, or elastin.

    • A stent-valve device includes a non-collapsible valve component and a stent component having a first ring connected to a second ring. The first ring has a characteristic first diameter and a valve support for supporting the valve component. The second ring is contractible and expandable between a second diameter less than a third diameter. The second diameter is less than the first diameter and the third diameter is greater than the first diameter. The first ring preferably includes a plurality of elements that extend downward to feet that project radially inward. The valve component rests on the feet for support. A seal is preferably disposed about the first ring. The valve component may be mechanical valve prosthesis, a bio-prosthesis (such as a non-collapsible porcine valve) or a polymer-based prosthesis. In another aspect of the invention, a deployment catheter is provided for effectively deploying the stent-valve device(s) described herein.

    • A hand-holdable egg-based food product (and method of producing same) preferably includes a hand-holdable member having first and second portions. An edible part, which preferably surrounds and is supported by the hand-holdable member first portion, includes a processed egg-based composition that is substantially cooked and has a solid form that substantially retains its shape when warmed. The second portion of the hand-holdable member provides gripping surfaces that can be manually picked up and held by a human hand for handling and eating as desired. The edible part can include at least one additive (e.g., vegetable(s), meat(s), cheese(s), spice(s)) that is mixed with the processed egg-based composition. The processed egg-based composition is preferably realized by mixing a liquid form egg-based composition. Advantageously, the hand-holdable egg-based food product need not be consumed with carbohydrates, can be handled with ease, does not come apart, and is therefore suitable for eating on the run.

The polyolefin copolymer is elastomeric, has a hardness intermediate the low and high levels of hardness, and has a backbone in which the majority of polymer linkages along the copolymer chain are alternating quaternary and secondary carbon atoms.
