    • PURPOSE:To improve a working property without entailing any damage to sealability in a cylindrical mounting part by forming a cavity part on an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical mounting part at one side edge of a bellows and a ring protuberance on the inner circumferential surface, respectively, while making up a ring recess groove in this cavity part. CONSTITUTION:Although a ring protuberance is formed on an inner circumferential surface of a cylindrical mounting part 3 of a bellows 1, a ring recess groove 5 is formed in a cavity part 4 of the mounting part 3 at a part corresponding to the ring protuberance, so that when the cylindrical mounting part 3 is inserted into an installing part 13 of the bellows 1, the ring recess groove 5 is widened from the outside, whereby the ring protuberance on the inner circumferential surface is absorbed to the side of the ring recess groove 5, and the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical mounting part 3 is made into a smoothing surface, thus it can be smoothly inserted thereinto. After the insertion, when a flat belt 14 is rolled in the cavity part 4 and tightened, almost the whole surface of the cylindrical mounting part 3 is uniformly clamped, while the ring protuberance on the inner circumferential surface is extruded in direction being projected to the inside, so that high sealability to the bellows installing part 13 of the cylindrical mounting part 3 can be thus held.

A jig 7 is inserted into the inside of the tube 1, the lower side of the flange 4 is supported, the end of an ultrasonic tool horn 9 is brought into pressure contact with the upper side of the part formed with the step 6 of the retainer 5, ultrasonically heated to melt the end face of the step 6, and the flange 4 of the tube 2 is welded to the retainer 5.

    • PURPOSE:To manufacture a molding with a skin, the reproducibility of solid shape and external appearance characteristics of which are excellent, by a method wherein a specified non-woven cloth is arranged between a mold with a cavity surface and a parison made of thermoplastic in plasticized state so as to thermocompression-bond the parison to the non-woven cloth by inflating the parison in order to form a solid shape after the cavity surface of the mold and finally to cool and solidify the parison. CONSTITUTION:A plate- or recessed-shaped structural member with hollow double wall structure which is favorable from the aspects of strength and rigidity is obtained. Especially, in case of a structural member, over the whole one surface or the whole both surfaces of which a skin or skins are constituted, a non-woven cloth or cloths 7, the weight per area of which is 80-500g/m and the tensile strength of which is 10kg/cm or more, are arranged between molds 1 and 2 having cavity surfaces, which constitute the desired solid shape, and a parison 3 made of plastic under plasticized state. The parison and the non-woven cloths are integrally fixed under pressure by being pinched between pinch-off ridges positioned at the outer peripheral edges of the cavities of the molds. After that, the parison and the non-woven cloths are fixed under pressure by inflating the parison between the molds so as to form solid shapes corresponding to the cavity surfaces. After the parison is cooled and solidified itself, the flash part containing the non-woven cloths of a molded item is removed along a parting line.

CONSTITUTION:A dust boot 1 for vehicle comprises a bellows section 2 having a nearly circular section and nearly cylindrical retainer ends 3 which are connected to each end of the bellows.     • PURPOSE:To improve a bending property and form holding property in a bellows part for forming a boot which covers a constant velocity joint for an automobile by interconnecting the tops of respective crests with straight lines and specifying the diameter of the minimum diameter crest, difference of diameters between adjacent crests and respective rates of the diameter differences between adjacent roots to shaft diameters respectively. CONSTITUTION:A boot 1 is formed of an elastic material having 100-1000kg/cm of tension elastic modulus. Both large and small diameter sticking parts 3, 4 respectively stuck to the outer ring and shaft of a constant speed joint are disposed on both ends of a bellows part 2. Then, the bellows part 2 has the tops of respective crests 8b-8g except for the first crest 8a interconnected with approximately straight lines (a). The diameter D1 of the minimum diameter crest 8g is set to about two times the shaft diameter. Further, the rate of diameter difference between respective adjacent crests 8d-8g to the shaft diameter is maximized between both third and fourth crest parts 8c-8d and set to at least 0.4. On the other hands, the rate of diameter difference between the respective adjacent roots 9a-9f to the shaft diameter is maximized between both second and third roots 9b, 9c and set to at least 0.5. Thus, the bellows does not make contact with the shaft of the constant velocity joint irrespective of the large bending even if the bellows is made compact as a whole.
