摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the subject system designed to assuredly detect one intermittent operation of each seedling receiving tray in order to obviate deviation of the operational timing of an actuation element operating one operation in every one intermittent operation of the tray which intermittently conveys seedlings. CONSTITUTION:Many seedling receiving trays 37 to be loaded with seedlings are arranged in an endless way; in order to intermittently move every one pitch these trays 37, the power transmission system for these trays 37 is equipped with an intermittent mechanism 39 mounted with a driving wheel 41 and a driven wheel 40 intermittently revolved by revolving this driving wheel 41. Besides, an actuation element operating one operation in every one intermittent operation of each of these trays 37 and a sensor 48 to detect the intermittent operation of the driven wheel 40 are also equipped, and the actuation element is operated in response to the signals from this sensor 48.

These seedling chutes 62 are supported in a state to enable free exchange of their positions and, when a defective seedling is detected, the seedling chute 62 holding the defective seedling and positioned at the seedling delivery position F is moved to a seedling non-delivery position G and the seedling chutes 62 at the seedling non-delivery position G is transferred to the seedling delivery position F.

The cylinder actuating means is provided with an upper stopping means 15 to disconnect the electromagnetic clutch for a prescribed period when a transplantation cylinder 5 reaches the lifted position A. The cam of the burner actuating means has a lowering part 13a to lower a hole- opening burner 7 almost simultaneously with the start of the lowering motion of the transplantation cylinder from the lifted position. The time lag between the transplantation step and the hole-opening step can be decreased by this process.
