摘要： In response to a BCMCS service request from a mobile station, a base station separately informs the mobile station whether the requested BCMCS service is available. Thus, the base station can include only broadcast channel information necessary for actual broadcast in a broadcasting overhead message, and if the BCMCS service is stopped or unavailable, the base station can order the mobile station to interrupt the BCMCS service, thereby reducing the load on system resources.

摘要： A method and system for performing handoff between a source system and a target system are provided. The target system has a different network access standard from that of the source system. An access terminal, connected to the source system, transmits a request message including an identifier of the access terminal to be identified in the target system, to the target system, via the source system, in order to access the target system. A session storage of the target system acquires the identifier of the access terminal from the access terminal via the source system. The session storage of the target system acquires session information of the access terminal from an old session storage to which the access terminal was connected before it accesses the source system, using the acquired identifier. After the session information is acquired, a gateway of the target system acquires context information related to a data service of the access terminal from a gateway of the source system. After handoff of the access terminal, the target system provides the data service to the access terminal using the session information and the data service-related information.

A preamble set for transmitting a multi-user packet (MUP) is configured to a specific access terminal, information on the preamble set is provided to the terminal, and data is transmitted to an access terminal having a MAC ID of 128 or higher using a preamble corresponding to the MAC ID. If a specific access terminal has a MAC ID of 128 or higher, the preamble set includes at least one preamble with which the access terminal determines whether the MUP is received. The access node provides information on the preamble set to the access terminal during session configuration.

摘要： A packet data generating method and apparatus for supporting multiple services in a wireless packet data communication system where an MS transmits two or more traffics to a BS on one of a reverse PDCH, a reverse FCH, and a reverse DCCH. To generate a PDU using non-signaling traffic and/or signaling traffic for one of the reverse physical channels, a multiplex option is determined during service negotiations between the MS and the BS. The multiplex option defines a traffic format having a header and a payload including traffic data, and the header includes a service reference identifier field, a length indicator field indicating the presence or absence of a length field, and the length field indicating the length of the traffic data. A PDU is generated by formatting a reverse traffic to have a header and a payload according to the determined multiplex option.

摘要： An encryption processing system and method are provided in a mobile communication system having an AT, an AN for sending packet data to the AT on a radio channel, a PCF for controlling the AN, and a PDSN for sending packet data to the AN through the PCF. The AT encrypts a packet generated upon user request and sends the encrypted packet on a radio channel. If it is indicated that the packet received from the AT was encrypted, the AN requests encryption information of the AT to the PCF and decrypts the encryption information received from the PCF. Upon receipt of the request of the encryption information of the AT from the AN, the PCF determines whether the AT is authenticated, extracts the encryption information of the AT if the AT is authenticated, and sends the extracted encryption information to the AN.
