    • The invention consists of a wiper arm with wiping-angle dependent wiping pressure for a windscreen wiping device in motor vehicles. The wiper arm (10) is rotationally fixed to a wiper shaft driven (12) by pendulum drive. A pivoted part (13), connected to the fastener (11) and able to pivot around a swivel pin (14), is drawn against the windscreen of the vehicle by a tension spring (15) attached on one side to the pivoted part (13) and on the other to the fastener (11). Because of the convex curvature of the windscreen, the pivoted part (13) pivots around the swivel pin (14) and the swivelling angle ( DIFFERENTIAL ) increases from a theoretical initial value of 0 in the park position or inner reverse position to a maximum value in the central area of the wiping zone and decreases again as it moves towards the outer reverse position. So as to achieve by simple means optimum wiping-angle dependent adjustment of wiping pressure with this type of wiper arm, the invention provides that the point of attachement (P2) where the tension spring (15) is fixed to the fastener (11) should be situated at a distance (A) above the swivel pin (14) of the pivoted part (13) and thus at distance (a) below that pin (14).

    • The invention relates to a wiper arm assembly for a vehicle windshield wiper device comprising a wiper arm (1) and a wiper blade (7) which are pivotally interconnected, wherein the wiper blade (7) has a supporting frame (8) and a rubber elastic wiper strip (10) supported by and inserted in the supporting frame (8) and an additional supporting device (13) which is rigidly connected to the wiper arm (1), acting upon the wiper blade (7) and supporting the latter in the direction of wiping or in the opposite direction. In order to effectively suppress undesired chattering of the wiper blade on the windshield to be wiped by using simple and cost-effective means, the invention provides that the additional supporting device (13) engages directly with the wiper strip (10). One further advantage is that the supporting device (13) engages the inner end section (12) of the wiper strip which stands out of the supporting frame and the wiper strip (10) is guided without any slack on the supporting device (13).
