A controller may control operation of one or more power converters to limit current and/or voltage supplied to a traction electric motor, accordingly.

摘要： A collection, charging and distribution machine collects, charges and distributes portable electrical energy storage devices (e.g., batteries, super- or ultracapacitors). To charge, the machine employs electrical current from an external source, such as the electrical grid or an electrical service of an installation location. The machine determines a first number of devices to be rapidly charged, employing charge from a second number of devices identified to sacrifice charge. Thus, some devices may be concurrently charged via current from the electrical service and current from other devices, to achieve rapid charging of some subset of devices. The devices that sacrifice charge may later be charged. Such may ensure availability of devices for end users.

摘要： A network of collection, charging and distribution machines collect, charge and distribute portable electrical energy storage devices (e.g., batteries, supercapacitors or ultracapacitors). To charge, the machines employ electrical current from an external source, such as the electrical grid or an electrical service of an installation location. By default, each portable electrical energy storage device is disabled from accepting a charge unless it receives authentication information from an authorized collection, charging and distribution machine, other authorized charging device, or other authorized device that transmits the authentication credentials. Also, by default, each portable electrical energy storage device is disabled from releasing energy unless it receives authentication information from an external device to which it will provide power, such as a vehicle or other authorization device.

The handset generally includes a front cover with a display region, an input region and a back cover. The front cover may be formed of a transparent material, such as plastic and be covered by a semi-translucent vacuum metallized thin film. The handset includes an active mode wherein a display panel is illuminated and is visible through the thin film, and a standby mode wherein the display panel is not illuminated and not visible and, instead, the front cover appears as a continuous surface with a metallic finish. The handset also includes a base unit with an outer area that may change color to indicate the handset is properly positioned within the base unit. The base unit also includes electrical contacts to act as a charging unit.

摘要： A highly legible key that is durable and suitable for electronic devices, including gaming consoles and controllers. The key includes an outer layer and an inner layer and may be formed by a two-shot injection molding process. The outer layer has a cavity delineating a negative form of a desired indicia or indicium. The inner layer is located interior to the outer layer filling the negative form with the desired indicium. The outer layer is formed of transparent or translucent material and the inner layer is formed of an opaque or darker material, such that, the indicium is visible through the outer layer material. The outer layer can be tinted. The outer layer protects and magnifies the indicium of the inner layer. The inner layer in the region of the indicium can be domed for increased visibility. The outer layer can have a dome surface, which is on a slope for improved finger-to-button contact. The outer layer can have a step and a tab for retaining the button in an electronic device housing.
