    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the unbalance of frictional force among each member, the shaft bending of a rotor and thermal deformation vibrations by making the length of a creepage block, one end of which is held to a retaining ring, longer than that of other creepage blocks. SOLUTION: A field winding 2 in a rotor drum section 9 is housed in a slot, and fixed by a wedge 3 through a creepage block 1A. That is, the field winding 2 and the wedge 3 and both ends in the axial direction of the creepage block 1A are held by a retaining ring 10. The length LCB of the creepage block 1A, one end of which is held to the retaining ring 10, is formed in size longer than the thermal extension range of the field winding 2 during rotating conduction and in size longer than the length of other creepage blocks 1B. Accordingly, the unbalance of frictional force among each member generated by the thermal extension of the field winding at end sections in the axial direction of a drum section in a rotor during starting operation can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the abrasion damage of an end coil insulating layer by inserting sheet insulating spacing pieces each formed into a collared semicircular shape having parting faces extending along end coils in such manner that respective pairs of said spacing pieces face each other. CONSTITUTION:Insulating spacing pieces 4 are inserted along end coils 2a protruding from a stator core 1 and over the whole length between said end coils. Said insulating spacing pieces 4 are FRP obtained by combination of epoxy resin with reinforced fiber formed into semicircles having collar faces as base material, the radial dimension of each semicircle is larger than the half of the gap dimension between end coils 3, and said spacing pieces are inserted between end coils 3 in such manner that respective collar faces 4a are stuck together and respective pairs of said pieces 4 face each other. Also, the apex parts touching end coils 2a of said semicircles of the insulating spacing pieces 4 inserted between end coils 3 wind and fasten insulating tight binding materials 5 and are fixed to said end coils 2a. In this manner, said insulating spacing pieces do not directly rub the insulating layers of said end coils.
