摘要： A liquid crystal projector comprises an illuminating optical system including a light source, a color separating optical system for separating illuminating light rays emitted by the illuminating optical system into light rays of three colors, a projection lens unit comprising a projection lens, a cross dichroic prism disposed near a light receiving end of the projection lens, and a plurality of liquid crystal panels arranged around the cross dichroic prism, and a light source power supply for supplying power to the light source. The projection lens unit, the color separating optical system, the illuminating optical system and the light source power supply are arranged in that order. The liquid crystal projector has an outside size in a horizontal plane of 263 mm by 318 mm or below. The liquid crystal panels have a display screen size of 0.9 in. A cooling fan for cooling the plurality of liquid crystal panels is disposed beside the projection lens.

摘要： A projection type display apparatus including a discharge lamp for supplying light, a light valve device and first and second air intake openings arranged on different sides of the apparatus. A centrifugal fan is associated with the first air intake opening so as to draw in outside air and form a first ventilation air flow from the first air intake opening through a lower side of the light valve device so as to cool the light valve device. A cooling fan is associated with the second air intake opening so as to draw in outside air and form a second ventilation air flow so as to cool optical elements including lenses. An exhaust opening is arranged on a further side of the apparatus, and an exhaust is fan arranged proximate to a discharge lamp so as to draw out air including the first and second ventilation air flow therethrough.

摘要： The present invention relates to an information providing system. More particularly, this invention relates to an information management apparatus capable of reliable management of distributed information and an information providing system employing the same information management apparatus. The information management apparatus comprises a main information reproducing means for reproducing main information recorded in a given recording medium; and a reproduction management means for managing the main information reproducing means for reproducing the main information. The present invention provides a receiving means provided with a means for recording distributed information and control information limiting the number of main information reproducing cycles on a recording medium, and a main information reproducing means provided with a reproduction disabling means for limiting the reproduction of main information.

摘要： A magnetic tape recording and reproducing plug-in unit including a case with a front plate having an insertion opening through which a magnetic tape cassette is inserted, a bottom plate, a top plate, and a pair of side plates each formed with a pair of guide slots arranged for guiding the cassette to a loading position. The slide plates are attached to the side plates so as to be slidable within the case, each slide plate formed with a pair of cam slots arranged for moving the cassette to the loading position. A cassette holder is disposed inside the pair of slide plates for holding the cassette and has pins extending through the cam slots into the guide slots of the side plates. A recording and reproducing device is mounted on the bottom plate. A driving device drives the slide plates. An electronic circuit is disposed at the rear of the recording and reproducing device. Each of the guide slots has a horizontal guide slot portion extending depthwise and a vertical guide slot portion extending downward from the horizontal guide slot portion. Each of the cam slots has a horizontal cam slot portion extending depthwise and an oblique cam slot portion extending obliquely upwards from a rear end of the horizontal cam slot portion.

摘要： A capstanless tape feed control system of a reel-drive type is capable of accurately detecting the respective working radii of a supply reel and a take-up reel and the total length of the tape, of efficiently controlling tape speed and of preventing damage to the tape. The tape feed control system calculates the working radii of the supply reel and the take-up reel and the total length of the tape while the leading end of the tape is moving toward the take-up reel, and detects tape speed on the basis of data representing the total length of the tape and the radius ratio between the supply reel and the take-up reel. The tension of the tape and the reel driving torque are detected while the tape is being fed and the working radii of the supply reel and the take-up reel are calculated on the basis of the tension and the reel driving torque. A tape loading operation and a tape unloading operation are performed after the leading end of the tape has been pulled out from the take-up reel, with the supply reel being held stationary and a predetermined back tension being applied to the tape by the take-up reel.

摘要： As a method of increasing the storage capacity of a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus for recording and reproducing information to and from a magnetic tape in a cartridge, there is a helical scan recording method in which the magnetic tape is diagonally wound around a drum which rotates a magnetic head. With an apparatus adapted to this method, the disposition of the cartridge and the take-up reel for taking up the magnetic tape on the same plane arises a necessity of considerably bending the magnetic tape at the drum portion and, accordingly, the magnetic tape is damaged. In order to prevent the damage of the foregoing type, the tape passage surface from the cartridge to the drum and the tape passage from the drum to the take-up reel are formed by an angle at which the direction in which the magnetic tape is moved is changed due to winding of the magnetic tape around the drum so that the magnetic tape is not bent excessively. A threading device capable of three-dimensionally controlling the position of the magnetic tape in accordance with a predetermined tape passage is provided for the apparatus structured as described above. The threading device is formed by a link mechanism to be moved along the locus of a cam groove so that the three-dimensional position control can be performed.

摘要： An optical equipment having a discharge lamp for supplying light and a light valve device for projecting the light from the equipment having an air intake opening arranged on one side of the equipment. A ventilation device is associated with the air intake opening so as to draw in air from outside of the equipment through the air intake opening and a ventilation path arranged so as to extend from an outlet of the ventilation device continuously. The ventilation path includes a partition member proximate to an outlet of the ventilation device and air flow through the ventilation path is divided into a plurality of air flows by the partition member so as to cool different parts of the light valve device respectively.
