摘要： An oscillatory support for drum washing machines having a horizontal axis of rotation comprises a washer unit (1) supported on a base plate (4) via at least two spring struts (2) disposed at either side of the vertical plane passing through the axis of rotation. The spring struts (2) are elastically articulated at one end on the base plate (4) and on the other end are articulated with their respective tappets (13) on the washer unit (1). In order to provide support means which are simple in design and easily mounted and which have good oscillatory and damping properties, the spring struts (2) are articulated at both ends by means of a plug connection to the base plate (4) and the washer unit (1), respectively.

摘要： A frictional damper, in particular for washing machines with spinning action, comprising a circular cylindrical housing and a tappet which is coaxially displaceable inside the housing and extends out of it with one end, the other end being provided with an approximately cylindrical friction piston. The friction piston has at least one friction coating made of an elastically resilient material and is provided with a grease chamber open towards the inner wall of the housing. In order to prevent a loss of damping because of a change from lubricated to dry friction, an extension tube is formed on the end of the tappet which is inside the housing which, together with an adjoining bracing flange and the inner wall of the housing, defines a grease collecting chamber.

摘要： A lockable elevating mechanism for the continuous adjustment of chair seats or the like comprises a guide tube, in which a length-adjustable, lockable gas spring is slidably guided. The piston rod of the gas spring is connected to the bottom plate of the guide tube. The housing of the gas spring is guided by means of a guide sleeve in the guide tube, the guide sleeve having a central carrying tube, in which slide sleeves are arranged with space. The carrying tube is surrounded by a carrying sleeve held in the guide tube. Thus a gas spring is obtained, on the one hand, which is free of bracing, resistant to wear and with good sliding qualities, and, on the other hand, the manufacturing of the guide sleeve is favorable in terms of material expenditure.

In order to attain a relatively broad hysteresis, which is desirable when the gas spring is used for retaining the upper parts of sun-tanning benches or automobile hatchbacks or the like, the piston assembly has a friction damping liner resting against the inner wall of the housing and made of an expanded plastic, which is open-celled and impregnated with lubricant on its friction face resting on the inner wall.

Disposed at the opposite end is a valve by means of which movements of longitudinal adjustment of the piston rod relative to a housing filled with a pressure medium are released or stopped. These gas springs are principally used for the vertical adjustment of chairs or tables. In order to make said vertical adjustment more comfortable, a damper valve is disposed in the valve effecting in different manner in each instance the throttling on the insertion of the piston rod into the housing or on the extraction of said piston rod out of the housing.

摘要： A frictional damper, includes a circular-cylindrical casing and a ram which is coaxially displaceable in the casing and the inner end of which is provided with a cylindrical friction piston. On its external face, the friction piston is provided with one or more friction elements which are elastically pressed against the inner wall of the casing. To obtain a uniform surface pressure over the entire friction surface of the friction element or elements during the entire life of the frictional damper, the friction piston is provided with a bushing having a circular-cylindrical external shape and of counter-holder flanges or disks which project radially from the bushing and delimit the latter at a fixed axial extent. Moreover, at least one annular-cylindrical friction sleeve which has a closed circumference, is made of an elastically yielding material and is under tension in its inner circumferential zone, is provided on the bushing. The damper is particularly useful for damping washing machines which have a spinning mode.

摘要： A lockable tilting apparatus for the seats of chairs and which can be used selectively either for chairs which tilt backward or for chairs which tilt forward, comprising a base plate securable to chair seat and a stationary body member adapted to be supported by the pedestal of the chair, spring means supported by said stationary body member, means supported by said stationary body member mounting said base plate for tilting pivotal movement relative to said stationary body member, link means engaging and movable with said base plate against the restoring force of said spring means whereby said base plate is tiltably movable relative to said body member against the restoring force of said spring means; and wherein a locking apparatus which is actuatable by displacement of an operating lever between two terminal positions is provided for selectively locking the base plate against tilting movement or for releasing the base plate for tilting movement, characterized by a slide member mounted in said body member for sliding movement relative to said base plate, said slide member being selectively movable between said two terminal positions, said slide member having receptacle means for engagement by an operating lever whereby to effect movement of said slide member selectively between said two terminal positions, said receptacle means being accessible for engagement by said operating lever from either of two laterally opposite sides of said body member. This construction permits the tilting apparatus to be mounted on either chairs which tilt backward or on chairs which tilt forward.
