CONSTITUTION:Turbine process gas flowing in from a compressor inlet 1 is pressurized in a compressor impeller 2 and a compressor casing 3 in order to flow out from a compressor outlet nozzle 4. And, said turbine process gas, after passing through a conduit 21 and being cooled in an after cooler 5, goes through a conduit 22, a turbine inlet valve 6, a turbine inlet nozzle 7 and an injection hole nozzle 8, and is adiabatically expanded at a turbine impeller 9 in order to flow out from a turbine outlet nozzle 10. A part of gas, having been pressurized at the compressor impeller 2 and the compressor casing 3, goes through a check valve 13 in order to be supplied to a thrust bearing 15 by means of bearing pressure corresponding to rise of turbine inlet pressure.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent burning of bearing due to abnormal drop in bearing unit temperature by detecting the temperature and increasing supply of seal gas at least when the detected value drops less than the set temperature. CONSTITUTION:High pressure process gas 7 expands adiabatically when passing in a nozzle 6 and an impeller 1 to become low pressure and low temperature gas, and the power generated this time is transmitted by a shaft 3. While, low temperature gas passing a nozzle outlet 4 and leaked from the back face of the impeller 1 passes through labyrinthes 4, 5 to be flowed to the side of bearings 2a, 2b. To prevent leak of low temperature gas, seal gas is supplied between the labyrinthes 4, 5. This time, the upper limit and the lower limit of the temperature of the bearing 2a unit is detected by a detector 9 and if the temperature is at the lower limit of the set value, a seal gas adjusting valve 10 is opened. Then, supply of seal gas is increased to prevent bad effect due to low temperature high pressure gas.

    • PURPOSE:To enable to easily adjust a clearance between a pad and a pivot, in a main rotary shaft supported by a pad, by supporting the pad by a pivot so as the pad can oscillate and by connecting a load-applying device and a movable spacer in series to the pivot. CONSTITUTION:A main shaft 1 is supported by a pad 2, and the pad 2 is supported by a pivot 3 so that the pad can oscillate. The pivot 3 can freely move in the radial directions of the main shaft 1 in a bearing housing 7, its head comes to contact with a plate spring 13 attached to the bearing housing 7, and a reverse load is applied to the pivot 3 by clamping a screw 12 of the plate spring 13. Further, a spacer 10 is inserted between the bearing housing 7 and the plate spring 13, and the spacer 10 can move by clamping its screw 11. As a result, an initially set clearance 5 can finally be freely adjusted in a state where the plate spring 13 and the pivot 3 are apart from each other. Thus, a small clearance between the pad 2 and the pivot 3 can be easily adjusted and the starting characteristic can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To always keep bearing oil in a prescribed amount by providing a self- actuated pressure regulating valve at a damping inlet and supplying oil to the damping circuit via a differential pressure regulating valve, in an expansion turbine with a damping system provided with a centrifugal radial flow impeller for an oil pump. CONSTITUTION:An impellet 2 assembled into an expansion turbine 1 is provided to construct a control circuit in a closed form as well as an oil cooler 6 and a control force regulating valve 13, and a bearing is oiled by raising the oil pressure in an oil tank 9 by means of an oil pump 4. On the other hand, exhaust oil is permitted to flow into a separator 15 together with leakage gas from the expansion turbine 1 side and the gas is discharged via a pressure regulating valve 16, while the oil is returned to the oil tank 9 via a pressure regulating valve 14. Further, oil to the damping circuit is supplied by partly extracting oil from a bearing oiling line and adjusting its flow rate with a differential pressure regulating valve 10 which is controlled by a differential pressure converter 11. Moreover, pressure at a damping inlet is kept constant by a self-actuated pressure regulating valve 12.
