    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a small type gas insulation switching device, by putting a first and a second operation devices for switching operation of a disconnect switch connected to a first and a second bus-bars between the first and the second main bus-bar units at a point symmetric position side by side so as to be eccentric from a central line. SOLUTION: An operating shaft 33 for operating a bus-bar side disconnect switch connected to a first main bus-bar 21 is connected with operation devices 31, 32 provided at an outside through a sliding gastight part formed under a first main bus-bar unit 11. The operating shaft 33 for operating a busbar side disconnect switch connected to a second main bus-bar 22 is also connected with the operation devices 31, 32 through the sliding gastight part formed above a second main bus-bar unit 12. The operation devices 31, 32 are stored in a closed container, and are disposed adjacent to each other between the first main bus-bar unit 11 and the second main bus-bar unit 12 by taking a conductive part of straight line as a central axis 100, so as to be eccentric to the central axis 100, and at a point-symmetric position to a point 101.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate the reactance state of a power system over a wide range by connecting a first winding having at least one Y-connection in series with a second winding which is combined with the first winding and providing a means which compensates the power transmitting state of the power system. SOLUTION: A power flow controller 10 is constituted of a serial compensator 11 which serially compensates a power system by causing a voltage of a leading phase to a line current, a main transformer 12, which adjusts phases, an adjusting transformer 13 which generates a voltage for adjusting the phase of the voltage generated by the transformer 12, and their control circuit 200. The compensator 11 is arranged between a terminal 14a and a neutral point 14 in each phase of Y-connection windings in the transformer 12. Therefore, the serial reactances of transmission lines, transformers, etc., can be compensated by means of the compensation capacitor of the compensator 11 and the transmission capacity of the power system can be increased and the system can be stabilized by the serial compensation.

    • PURPOSE: To break a semiconductor switch by considering breaking capabilty thereof. CONSTITUTION: Semiconductor switches 16, 18 are provided in parallel to a main circuit switch 12, to detect a main circuit current by a current detector 26, and to detect in a current detector 28 a current flowing in the semiconductor switches 16, 18. Based on a detection current in the current detector 26, 28, when detected an accident in an accident detecting circuit 30, opening a circuit is commanded to the main circuit switch 12 from a control circuit 40, also to command closing a circuit to the semiconductor switches 16, 18. Here in a process of opening the main circuit switch 12, when detected abnormality of commutation by a commutation detecting circuit 32, a conduction condition of the semiconductor switches 16, 18 is held, to break the semiconductor 16, 18 only when the commutation is placed in a normal condition. In this way, breaking the semiconductor switches 16, 18, in the point of time exceeding breaking capability, can be prevented.
