摘要： A small power generating system includes a turbine driven by a fluid, a small high-speed rotation power generator including a permanent magnet rotor having a permanent magnet and rotated together with the turbine and a plurality of stator coils each of which is comprised of a coreless coil, the rotor being rotated such that voltage is induced on the stator coils, whereby power is generated by the power generator, and a back yoke disposed at one of two opposed sides of the stator coils which is opposed to the other side thereof further confronting the permanent magnet of the rotor, the back yoke being made of a magnetic material with a predetermined electrical resistance.

摘要： A vertical cavity surface emitting laser array is disclosed which allows wires for individually driving devices arrayed at a small pitch to be provided on the laser array with ease and with a high degree of freedom is provided. The vertical cavity surface emitting laser array includes a first substrate including a plurality of vertical cavity surface emitting laser devices each having an active layer disposed between reflection mirrors constituting a resonator, and a second substrate including wires for providing electrical contact with the surface emitting laser devices and having a configuration which permits transmission of light emitted from the surface emitting laser devices. In the vertical cavity surface emitting laser array, the second substrate is bonded to the first substrate on the laser emitting side of the first substrate.

An image processing apparatus produces data of a copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image that is added to an image to be output for printing and comprises a latent image and a background image. The apparatus includes: a display unit for displaying an image; and a display control unit for distinctively displaying images, on the display unit, in a first display state displaying the copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image and in a second display state in which a display mode of at least one of the latent image and the background image of the copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image differs from a display mode of the image displayed in the first display state.

摘要： When the trial period for the printer driver of the trial version has elapsed while the license for the printer driver has not been purchased, the normal printing process continues to be enabled, and the density for tint block printing is set to a density at which a latent-image portion appears. Thus, based on the printing results obtained by a printer, the user can observe the same image as the image on which a tint block image is actually printed. As a result, the user understands that unrelated characters “COPY” are superimposed on the original image, and further experiences the effects of the tint block printing function. Further, the user is encouraged to purchase a license for another software product having a tint block printing function.
