    • An assembly, of an existing ITVM that has a computer system that communicates with a central host computer system for providing anon-line quick pick functionality. The computer system may also control the ITVM and, communicate with a retailer. Illustratively, the assembly demonstrates simple pressing of one button may select a wager and/or randomly select a game and a number associated with that game, but other embodiments include multiple operations of the buttons. The buttons and displays may be physical static push buttons with static or programmable labels although touch screens or LCD screens may be used. Illustratively, a scanner may be provided that reads a player's card or fob with preloaded information that authorizes the player to wage on the games presented, and also wherein the favorite game and wager of the player may be executed on the machine. A player's hand held device may be enabled to communicate with the assembly.

    • The present invention features a computerized meridian linking diagnostic and treatment system that offers a new paradigm for practitioners in the EAV, GSR, EDS, and Meridian Stress Assessment fields. During the entire procedure, the present invention system outputs two permanent filters (frequencies) that link all of the body's meridians and stabilizes the data access points used for testing and carrying out the many functions of the present invention. The result is an interconnected meridian network linking the internal body systems to the data access points utilized by the system. The process begins by taking energetic readings at data access points. The computer stores the points that are the most stable. After the stable points are obtained, customized filters (frequencies) relating to specific issues or maladies (such as chemical toxins, allergies, digestion, etc.) are output or broadcast. Using only a single, but stable data access point as a reference point, if any of these filters creates a disturbance to any energetic component, cellular component, tissue, organ, or system of the body, each of which are linked by the interconnected meridian network, an imbalanced reading on the previously stable data access point will be created. The system will then automatically load products (remedies) that are useful for restoring homeostasis or balance. Each of the remedies are stored in the system database and can easily and quickly be scanned through until one or more products or remedies are discovered that will remove the underlying disturbance and allow the patient to obtain an improved level of health. The product/remedy is then placed in a holding tank that stores the results of each test. Specifically, the holding tank stores the filter(s) that created an imbalance/disturbance, the products (remedies) that allow the individual's body to restore homeostasis, balance, or improved health, and various prescription constraints that dictate administration of the products to the patient. The present invention also features several computer software functions, along with various methods of diagnosing maladies and treating a patient using an alternative medicine technique similar to a meridian stress assessment.

    • A triggering system and process for a form reader is shown using a histogram of the optical scene. The form reader is open on three sides with a camera facing a platen on to which a form is placed. The camera converts the light rays reflected from the platen into a video stream that is sent to a processor. A change in content of a first light intensity level contrasted to the content of a second light intensity level is used to determine when the form enters the scene. Illustratively, the first light intensity level represents black levels and the second light intensity levels represent white levels. A threshold is pre-determined that isolates the first light intensity content, and when the first light intensity content remains constant (after the presence of a form) the form is deemed to be still wherein the system may then read the information on the form.

    • A printer (90) for forms such as lottery entry tickets has a print forming device (96) which places both alphanumeric characters (52) and machine scannable characters (54) on a form (10), responsive to input data. The print forming device (96) or the form (10) is moved during printing, so as to form successive characters. A scanner (60) for reading the machine scannable characters (54) previously printed by the print forming device (96) is mounted such that the scanner (60) views characters formed by the printer. The output data of the scanner is compared to data stored in memory (74) representing the previously printed scannable characters. An error in the scanned code as compared to the stored data is interpreted as a printer failure, and the form (10) is rejected. The device is useful for assessing quality of the previously printed scannable characters (54) as well as the alphanumeric characters (52) because the characters are printed with the same print elements (94) and defective operation of a print element (94) causes gaps in both forms of characters.
