摘要： A supporting bracket includes a bracket body which defines a tube receiving portion and lock receiving portion. The tube receiving portion includes a split socket having a bush therein. The socket further includes a split threaded extension which receives a locking knob to tighten the split socket. An adaptor and a biasing block is further received by the locking block. When the locking knob is screwed in, the adaptor and biasing block are moved in to press against the bush. Accordingly, the supporting bracket can be firmly attached to the tube with different diameter of the bicycle. The lock can be readily held by the lock receiving portion when the lock is not in use.

摘要： A rack for transporting things on a bicycle is configured for storing a shackle lock during use of the bicycle. The rack, which mounts above the rear wheel of a bicycle, has a horizontal platform with a nominal C-shaped cross section comprised of a top having downwardly extending and inwardly curving arms. The shackle of a lock is slidably insertable into the C-shape; the curved arms permit shackles of varying diameter and leg spacing to be stored. Outwardly deflectable arms, or leaf springs captured in lengthwise undercut grooves within the C-shape, press on the shackle to frictionally retain it. The rear end of the platform is angled so that when a shackle lock cross bar contacts it there is a downward force on the cross bar, to stop vertical shaking of the lock. The horizontal stays that hold the platform to the bicycle are slidably adjustable and locked in position by means of set screw cams in grooves running adjacent the grooves receiving the stays.

The rack is designed to accept the U-shaped metal lock, carry various items desired by the rider and to be rigidly attached to the bicycle. The lock mates with the rack to form an outside frame thereof whereby the combination provides a place to carry the lock while strengthening the rack to support more cargo. The lock can be removed even when the rack is loaded with gear and accessories thus providing mutual exclusion of use of the lock and rack.

One end of the bracket uses a circular shaped post attaching means which can be tightened around differently sized seat by means of a screw. The bracket is comprised of a flat body portion along at least one edge of which is formed a tubular or semi-tubular receptacle adapted to receive a leg of the U-shaped lock shackle. Mounted to the body portion is a fastening device for engaging the cross bar of the lock to prevent longitudinal movement thereof with respect to the bracket. The bracket when used on a motorcycle preferably is mounted against the shock absorber for the rear wheel thereof.

摘要： A bicycle lock comprised of a U-shaped shackle and a bolt lockable across the end of the shackle is detachably connected to a bracket mountable to the bicycle frame for storage purposes. The lock bolt is formed with a flat shank portion and an enlarged end portion. The shank portion passes through a pair of opposing slots formed at the ends of the shackle legs to engage a locking mechanism on one leg of the shackle. The enlarged end of the bolt prevents the bolt from passing through the shackle leg and also serves to engage the bracket. The bracket preferably is formed from two strips of metal bent and joined to define a pair of parallel leg sections with a pair of spaced apart semi-cylindrical portions one of which engages a part of the bicycle frame while the other engages the enlarged end of the bolt. Integral tab portions are formed on the free end of the bracket to extend through the shackle slot and against the shank of the bolt to hold the lock assembly in clamping engagement against the bracket. The lock assembly may be separated from the bracket by either unlocking the bolt from the shackle or bending the legs of the shackle together sufficiently to clear the tabs of the bracket.
