摘要： A tank for containing a fluid, such as fuel, oil or gas within a chamber. The walls of the chamber are partially defined by a rigid structure having an opening; and partially defined by an elastomeric diaphragm which is attached around its periphery to the rigid structure and covers the opening in the rigid structure. An attachment frame engages the diaphragm and the rigid structure, and extends around the periphery of the diaphragm. The attachment frame has a first portion which engages the diaphragm, and a second portion which is positioned outside an outer edge of the diaphragm and attached to the rigid structure.

An inner lining of a compressible plastic material lines the interior of the outer shell and defines a hollow interior region of variable volume for a bladder for storing sewage. The inner lining accommodates expansion and contraction of the bladder in the event of freezing and thawing of the contents thereof. The contents of the toilet pan are discharged into the bladder, and sewage is discharged from the bladder under pressure through a discharge pipe.

摘要： An elastic, fluid-impervious storage tank includes an outer tank member which is comprised of a pair of end tank sections and an intermediate tank section, the latter being provided with an inlet or filler pipe. Each end section is formed from a single blank of fiber-reinforced elastomer which is cut and folded so that the corner portions thereof are of rounded configuration. A flexible envelope formed of a film of chemical inert fluid-impervious plastic material is positioned interiorly of the outer tank member. The film envelope is slightly larger than the outer tank member and is folded with accordian pleats when it is inserted into the outer tank member so that it first unfolds transversely and then longitudinally as it is filled with a liquid.

摘要： Resinous enclosure members are disclosed which are surface sulfonated and neutralized to the extent that they contain about 0.001 milligram to about 50.0 milligrams of sulfonate groups per square centimeter wherein the groups are selected from ammonium sulfonate, metal sulfonate and substituted quaternary nitrogen sulfonate groups. The treated enclosure members are rendered substantially impervious to the penetration of various solvents, gases, and vapors by this treatment. The enclosure members are useful to retain or transport hydrocarbon solvents, perfumes, fuels, etc. and thus can be used as gasoline tanks, perfume bottles, plastic hoses, etc.
