    • An activating device activates a cover (15) for the opening face (14a) of a container (14). Pivot arms (16) are fixed to a pivot unit (17) equipped with an electric motor through a reduction gear at one ends, and fixed to plate springs (18) at the other ends (16b). One end portions (18a) of the plate springs (18) are fixed to the respective front and rear portions of the cover (15), the other end portions thereof are fixed to the other ends (16b) of the pivot arms (16). The resiliency of the plate spring (18) is set lower in the vertical direction of the container (14). The plate spring (18) is bent from its other end portion toward its one end portion (18a) at substantially 90° or larger of bending angle. The plate spring (18) is formed so that it bends toward the inside of the center of the cover (15) between the pivot arm and the cover.

    • The invention relates to a collecting, transporting and storing container (10) for liquid and/or solid material. The inventive container comprises a container body (12) that is embodied in a double-walled manner in the bottom and peripheral wall area by virtue of an internal container which is inserted into the outer container. The container body (12) is provided with a charging hole on the upper side thereof. The charging hole is circularly defined when seen from above and can be hermetically closed by means of a lid (14) which can be pivoted and is provided with a ring seal. The internal container has a continuously cylindrical form extending from the bottom to the charging hole. The lid (14) is circularly defined at least in a partial section being adjacent to the container in the locked position in such a way that said lid can be pivoted into the internal container in a well-fitting manner. The ring seal is arranged in the partial section of the lid (14), whereby said section is situated in the charging hole when the lid is in the locked position. The lid is provided with locking devices which can be alternatively actuated into a position of withdrawal from the locking receptacles that are provided in the container body (12) or into a position of a positively fitting engagement with the locking receptacles.

    • The invention provides a closure suitable for use on pipelines and pressure vessels, and which can resist high pressure but which can be opened quickly when the pressure differential across the closure has been reduced to zero. The closure comprises a door (3) which fits into an aperture of a hub (1) in a member (2) to be closed. A number of arcuate locking members or segment blocks (30) disposed around the periphery of the door for locking the door (3) to the hub (1). The locking members (30) are constrained by guide pins (34) to move along guide slots (40) in the door. A drive plate (101) is rotatably mounted on the door (3) and includes a plurality of drive slots (122) which engage with the guide pins (34). Rotation of the drive plate (101) relative to the door (3) causes the locking members (30) to move radially outwardly and circumferentially such that the locking members are moved from an unexpanded unlocked position to an expanded locking position in which the locking members (30) engage both the door (3) and the hub (1) thereby preventing opening of the door. A key member (82) is moved to a position between two adjacent locking members(30) to lock the closure. The closure is unlocked by removing the key member (82) and then rotating the drive plate (101) to move the locking members (30) back to the unexpanded unlocked position.
