摘要： Carpet engaging support devices for anchoring tippable or slidable objects in desired position on a carpeted floor, the devices having one or more sharpened prongs engagable through and under the carpet, with the prongs being arranged to hold the devices on the carpet against unwanted removal. Spring clips, detent means and magnetic means are provided for releasably securing the devices to the objects to be anchored. In one aspect of the invention, the devices are particularly suited for anchoring a receptacle balanced on top of a carpeted floor hump in an automobile, while in other aspects the devices are particularly suited for anchoring mats, throw rugs and the like.
