摘要： A method of preparing parallel-wire cable for use in prestressed concrete pressure tanks comprises the steps of cutting the cable in lengths with each wire of equal length, twisting the lengths of cable at least twice about the longitudinal axis of the cable, and preferably from two to five times, and positioning the lengths of cable within the tank wall prior to stressing the cable. The cable is preferably twisted before it is placed in position in the tank. However, it may be twisted after insertion into passageways within the concrete wall of the tank.

摘要： A cast silo lug combining compact structure with superior strength has a body portion with two holes therein, a curved lip section associated with each hole and a mounting section for positioning the lug against the wall of a silo. The holes are positioned at opposite ends of the body portion. One lip section extends outward from the body portion and around the part of the circumference of a hole facing the end of said body portion. The second lip section extends in the same manner outward from and around the other hole but on the opposite side of the body portion. The threaded end portions of silo encircling rods are passed through the holes in opposing directions, the lip sections associated with each hole serving to support the rod passing through the hole. On the side of each hole opposite the lip section, a bearing surface is provided for the retaining nut used to secure and tighten the encircling rods to the wall of the silo.

摘要： In an LNG tank, a dike is formed by arranging precast blocks in the circumferential direction and layering the precast blocks in the vertical direction. Each of the precast blocks has loop joints on the top, bottom, left, and right side faces, and concrete is deposited between each two precast blocks adjacent in the circumferential direction and the vertical direction, whereby masonry joints are formed in the vertical direction and the circumferential direction. Prestress is imparted to the dike by PC steel members. The PC steel members are provided in the circumferential direction and the vertical direction of the dike, and are arranged so as to avoid the masonry joints in the circumferential direction and the vertical direction. Therefore, it is possible to construct the dike in a short time, and it is possible to provide a tank or the like that can reduce the construction period.

摘要： A method and apparatus is disclosed to prepare strand segments of predetermined length for use in a molded concrete product at an assembly facility. The strand segments are loaded into a strand reel (10) having multiple slots. The strand reel is then transported to the mold site. At the mold site, the strand segments can be simultaneously pulled out from the strand reel for placement in the mold.
