    • In a recording or reproducing apparatus of the kind recording or reproducing information on or from a disc-shaped magnetic sheet which is contained in a cassette, if the magnetic sheet is left over a long period of time in a stationary state in contact with a magnetic head on one side thereof with a stabilizer plate closely opposed thereto on the other side, the magnetic sheet tends to be locally deformed and, if the apparatus is portable, the magnetic head might be damaged by collision with the sheet as the sheet vibrates while the apparatus is carried around. The disclosed apparatus is provided with retracting means for retracting the magnetic sheet and the stabilizer plate away from the magnetic head while leaving the cassette unmoved, so that the possibility of having the magnetic sheet deformed and the magnetic head damaged by the vibration of the sheet while the apparatus is carried around can be eliminated with the magnetic sheet and the stabilizer plate retracted from the head.

    • A recording system comprises an image pick-up recording device to record the picture information obtained through the image pick-up on a recording medium by a recording head; and a control device to change the relative location of the head and the medium after the information of one picture has been recorded in a predetermined location on the medium and to prevent the next picture information from being read out during the period of time until the completion of that displacement. The recording sytem may be provided with a memory for the picture information and a control device for allowing part of the picture information to be recorded in the selected portion on the medium. The control device also permits the other portion of the picture information stored in the memory to be recorded in the other portion on the medium after changing the relative location of the head and the medium.

    • In an image sensing apparatus having an image sensor which converts an optical image of an object into an electrical signal, a view finder for monitoring the optical image equivalent to the image incident on the image sensor, an optical member arranged in the path of light incident on the image sensor to selectively guide the light to the image sensor and also to the view finder, an exposure member which is at least partially disposed in between the object and the optical member and is arranged to control an exposure and a light receiving element which is arranged separately from the image sensor, a control circuit is arranged to cause the light receiving element to form a first photometric information when the optical member guides the optical image to the view finder; to control the exposure member on the basis of the first photometric information while the optical image is led to the image sensor by the optical member; to cause, after that, the image sensor to form a second photometric information; and again to control the exposure member on the basis of the second photometric information.

    • Driving power of an electric motor is transmitted to wind up a photographic film on a spool and to charge the shutter and other mechanisms associated therewith. When the spool has wound up the film by one frame, the transmission of the driving power to the spool is cut off through a clutch mechanism. After the charge member has completed its operation of charging the shutter and the motor is de-energized, the clutch mechanism is rendered effective in response to return of the charge member to the initial position, whereby the transmission of the driving power to the spool is again ready to be performed.
