摘要： Provided is a flame-retardant resin composition that can achieve both mechanical properties and flame retardancy and satisfy stringent heat resistance requirement such as heat resistance with a conductor attached, and an insulated wire, a flat cable, and a molded article made using the flame-retardant resin composition. The flame-retardant resin composition contains a thermoplastic resin, a polyfunctional monomer, and an organic phosphorus-based flame retardant. The thermoplastic resin contains 5% by mass or more of a resin having a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond or a resin having a carbonyl group relative to the entire thermoplastic resin. The organic phosphorus-based flame retardant is at least one selected from the group consisting of a metal phosphinate, a melamine phosphate compound, an ammonium phosphate compound, and a polyphosphazene compound obtained by ring-opening polymerization of cyclophosphazene. The content of the organic phosphorus-based flame retardant is 5 to 100 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the thermoplastic resin and the content of the polyfunctional monomer is 1 to 20 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the thermoplastic resin.

摘要： To provide a non-crosslinked flame-retardant resin composition delivering excellent heat resistance without deteriorating over a long period of time, as well as possessing sufficient flame retardancy, mechanical properties, flexibility and workability, and an insulated wire and a wiring harness using the same. The non-crosslinked flame-retardant resin composition includes (B) a metallic hydrate, (C) a hindered phenolic antioxidant, (D) a sulfurous antioxidant, and (E) a metallic oxide in (A) a non-crosslinked base resin which includes a propylene resin containing 50 wt % or more of propylene monomer. It is preferable to utilize an imdazole compound as the ingredient (D) and an oxide of zinc as the ingredient (E). In addition, the composition is used as an insulated covering material for a non-halogenous insulated wire, which is used in a wire bundle of the wiring harness.

The polyester article is irradiated with ionizing radiation to crosslink a polyester resin, the arithmetic mean roughness Ra of the surface of the plating layer is at most 1 μm, and adhesion strength between the polyester article and the plating layer is at least 2 MPa. A production process of a plated-polyester article, which comprises the step of melt-forming a resin composition obtained by dispersing an inorganic filler having an average particle diameter of 1 to 10 μm in a proportion of 5 to 20 vol. % in a polyester resin, which can be crosslinked by irradiation with ionizing radiation, into a polyester article, is also disclosed.

The composition comprises (a) a thermoplastic polyolefinic resin having a density of smaller than 0.89 g/cm3, which is prepared by copolymerizing ethylene and a non-polar &agr;-olefin in the presence of a single-site metallocene catalyst, (b) a halogen-containing flame retardant, and (c) zinc oxide. After crosslinking, the composition is used in forming an insulating coating for insulated wires and shielded wires, and in forming insulating tubes.
