    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily determine a moving status of an ultrasound probe.SOLUTION: The ultrasound diagnosis apparatus includes a change amount calculating unit 15c, an estimating unit 15d and a control unit 17. The change amount calculating unit 15c calculates an amount of change of a pattern of each of a plurality of local regions (ROI)between a plurality of ultrasound images (between a plurality pieces of raw data or between a plurality of ultrasound images for display) generated along a time series based on a reflected wave of an ultrasound wave transmitted by the ultrasound probe 1. The estimating unit 15d estimates a position of a rotation axis of a scanned cross-section in each ultrasound image based on the amount of change of the pattern of each of a plurality of local regions (ROI) calculated by the change amount calculating unit 15c. The control unit 17 performs control to display the rotation axis estimated by the estimating unit 15d on a monitor 2 while superimposing it on each ultrasound image.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, a medical image processing apparatus, and a medical image processing program for simply determining 3D-ROI (three-dimensional region of interest) in volume data without requiring a user to grasp the correspondence between a three-dimensional image and a plurality of two-dimensional images.
      SOLUTION: A specifying unit 41 specifies cells on rays which pass through respective pixels in a 2D-ROI set by a two-dimensional region-of-interest setting unit 39 and are used to acquire a VR image. A calculation unit 43 a contribution degree of each of the specified cell which contributes to a value of the pixels in the 2D-ROI based on a voxel value and opacity of each of the cells specified and calculates the average value of the contribution degrees of cells equal in distance from a projected image along the line-of-sight direction. A three-dimensional region-of-interest determination unit 45 specifies the distances from the VR image which correspond to average contribution values exceeding a predetermined threshold and determines the position of the 3D-ROI in the volume data.
