    • A developing device and an image forming apparatus equipped with the developing device are provided to suppress the deterioration in picture quality of an image formed on a sheet due to toner-clump created in a developer vessel. The developing device, comprising: a developing roller adapted to hold toner thereon while rotating and to supply the toner onto a photosensitive surface of a photosensitive body; a toner recovery vessel adapted to accommodate the developing roller therein with facing an opening portion thereof and to supply the toner to be held on the developing roller onto the developing roller while recovering residual toner remaining on the developing roller; and the toner vessel including a protrusion portion protruded toward a roller surface of the developing roller, the protrusion portion being provided at an inner wall part which confronts the roller surface of the developing roller and where the residual toner begins to drop from the developing roller.

    • To provide the mechanical brake actuator enabling to downsize the device and to reduce the manufacturing costs of the parts. The mechanical brake actuator comprises the strut (23) which engages with one brake shoe (12) and has two facing plates (23b) with a strut-bridge (23a) connecting therebetween and the plate-like brake lever (24) which engages with the other brake shoe (13). The brake lever (24) is retained in the space (23c) between the facing strut plates and is pivotally supported on the strut (23), and the inner cable (41) of the brake cable (40) connected to the free end (24e) of the brake lever (24) via the connecting pin (43). The mechanical brake actuator which is operated by pulling the inner cable (41) comprises the clip (30), which attaches to the strut-bridge (23a) and restricts the rotation of the brake lever (24) in the cable releasing direction.

    • A rear projection display, not requiring a dichroic prism, and capable of rendering a generation system of each image light in color independent of the other generation systems so as to optimally construct and improve easiness of assembly of, and so on, each generation system, is provided. Each unit for projecting image-light is formed of an LED array, a rod integrator, a liquid crystal display panel, and a projection lens. A projection optical axis of the projection lens of each unit for projecting image-light is parallel each other. A unit for projecting image light in red is provided with an LED array for emitting light of a wavelength band in red, a unit for projecting image light in green is provided with an LED array for emitting light of a wavelength band in green, and a unit for projecting image light in blue is provided with an LED array for emitting light of a wavelength band in blue. Each image light in color obtained as a result of passing through the liquid crystal display panel is projected by the projection lens, and displayed on a screen. As a result, each image light in color is superposed on the screen, and an image in full color is displayed.
