    • Infrastructure for a multi-modal multilingual communications device (MMCD) is presented. A communications component is provided that includes wireless and wired IP networks (e.g, LANs, MANs, and WANs, . . . ), as well as cellular and/or wired telecommunications networks for cellular communications. A management component can include software and hardware entities that facilitate the activation, authentication, accounting, updating of the MMCD systems, and synchronization to other entities. Additionally, the management component can facilitate the dissemination of applications, third-party services, and subscription information. An access component (e.g., a web server and interface) facilitates access to one or more of these entities such that administrators and/or users can access aspects of setup, configuration, subscriptions, updates, etc.

    • An intermittent computing system state and intermittent computing module is described for a power-constrained personal computer. In the intermittent computing system state, the power-constrained personal computer may transition between sub-states of the intermittent computing system state according to an intermittent computing schedule. Each intermittent computing sub-state may be associated with hardware power sets and software power sets. Altering power supply to hardware components referenced by hardware power sets may alter power consumed in associated intermittent computing sub-states. A caching mechanism may be configured to make it likely that software components referenced by software power sets are loaded into powered storage types during associated intermittent computing sub-states. In the intermittent computing system state, periods of high functionality may be available over extended periods without the high power consumption associated with a continuous working system state. Average power consumption may be adjusted by varying the intermittent computing schedule.

    • In one embodiment, the invention provides a rupture disk assembly having a rupture disk and a rupture disk holder. The rupture disk holder has a first annular member downstream of the rupture disk, a second annular member upstream of the rupture disk, and an optional third annular member upstream of the second annular member. An outer peripheral portion of the rupture disk is sandwiched between the first and second annular members; and, if a third annular member is present, (a) the second annular member is sandwiched between the outer peripheral portion of the rupture disk and the third annular member, and (b) the third annular member includes a fluid port aimed at the rupture disk. However, if the third annular member is not present, the second annular member includes a fluid port aimed at the rupture disk. In another embodiment, the invention provides an equipment access assembly having an equipment access cover, an equipment access cover mount, and an annular member between the equipment access cover and cover mount. The annular member includes a fluid port aimed at the equipment access cover. In yet another embodiment, the invention provides a valve mounting assembly having a downstream valve mount, an upstream valve mount, a valve intermediate the downstream and upstream valve mounts, and an annular member intermediate the valve and the upstream valve mount. The annular member includes a fluid port aimed at the valve.
