    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel particulate filter capable of suppressing exhaust of incompletely burned gas of PM while reducing PM combustion temperature. SOLUTION: This diesel particulate filter is arranged in an exhaust passage of a diesel engine to catch and burn particulates by circulating exhaust gas in an inside flow passage. A PM oxidation catalyst layer 7 containing oxygen ion transmission compound oxide for oxidising and burning particulates is provided on internal wall faces on at least the upstream side of the inside flow passages 4a, 4b, 5a. An incompletely burned gas oxidation catalyst layer 8 containing oxide carrying catalyst precious metal for oxidising incompletely burned gas accompanying with incomplete combustion of particulates is provided on internal wall faces on at least the downstream side of the inside flow passages.
