    • A receptacle for coaxial connector includes an outer conductor having a tubular portion, a central conductor having a central-conductor contact portion extending in an axis direction in an internal space of the tubular portion, and an insulator holding the outer conductor and the central conductor in an insulating state. An overhanging region made of the outer conductor and the insulator overhangs in a direction perpendicular to the tubular portion of the outer conductor. In this overhanging region, the outer conductor includes outer-conductor overhanging portions, and the insulator includes an insulator overhanging portion. The outer-conductor overhanging portions and the insulator overhanging portion have substantially the same thickness.

    • Provides is a method of manufacturing an insert-molded article enabling to perform resin molding and tie bar cutting in one step and so as not to expose the cut planes of the tie bars to the external surface of the resin. A lead frame 1 provided with easily breakable notches 3a at positions closer to the metal component than the interfaces of fie bars 3 to be resin molded is prepared and positioned by means of pilot pins 11 provided to a lower mold 10. A metal component 4 is sandwiched between support protrusions 13 and component fixing pins 24 by lowering an upper mold 20 with the lead frame being positioned. Tie bar cutting punches 23 provided to the upper mold 20 are pressed against the tie bars, the tie bars 3 are separated from the metal component 4 by breaking the notches 3a, and the surroundings of the metal component 4 are filled with resin while the molds are closed. By this, the cut surfaces between the metal component 4 and the tie bars 3 are buried in the molded resin 7.

    • An image forming apparatus employs a device that detects the opening and closing of covers. Two covers are pivotally mounted to a body of the image forming apparatus, each of the two covers being movable either to its opening position to open with respect to the image forming apparatus or to its closing position to close with respect to the image forming apparatus. A movable member is positioned at a first position when both the two covers are at their opening positions. A micro switch detects whether the two covers are closed or opened with respect to the image forming apparatus. When one of the two covers has moved to its closing position causing the movable member to move to a second position and the other of the two covers is at its closing position, the detector detects that the two covers are closed.
