    • PURPOSE: To reduce a pressure loss and a flow deflection sound of blowing air by a method wherein virtually circular surfaces are provided on a pair of opposite sides forming an outlet, outer surfaces of a pair of louvers are made circular-arc ones along the virtually circular surfaces and inner surfaces thereof are made practically flat ones. CONSTITUTION: An inlet 4 is formed in the lower rear of a case body 3 suspended from the ceiling 1 by suspension bolts 2, while an outlet 5 is formed in the front thereof. An air passage 6 is formed inside the case body 3 and a heat exchanger 8 and a cross flow fan 7 are disposed in the air passage 6. Louvers 21 and 22 are made rotatable between two prescribed directions by a motor. The upper and lower opposite sides forming the outlet 5 are made virtually circular surfaces herein and outer surfaces 21A and 22A of the louvers 21 and 22 are made circular-arc ones along the virtually circular surfaces, while inner surfaces 21B and 22B thereof are made practically flat ones. Spacing on the entrance side of a flow passage formed by the inner surfaces 21B and 22B of the louvers 21 and 22 is set to be larger than one on the exit side thereof.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce the lateral width of an air conditioner and reduce an installation space thereof by mounting a suspension fitment on heat exchanger supporting side plates located at opposite sides of the heat exchanger disposed in a casing and coupling a suspension bolt with the suspension fitment. CONSTITUTION: An upper end of a suspension bolt 2 is coupled with a beam, etc., on the back of a ceiling 1, and a lower end of the same is suspended down in a room after it penetrates the ceiling 1. A heat exchanger 8 is installed in a casing 3, and a leg 15B of a suspension fitment 15 is clamped to heat exchanger supporting side plates 20 on opposite sides of the heat exchanger 8 with a nut 16. The lower end of the suspension bolt 2 penetrates an overhang part 15A of the suspension fitment 15 and an upper surface panel 3C of the casing 3 and is inserted into the casing 3, and the suspension bolt 2 is coupled with the suspension fitment 15 by bringing the upper surface of the nut 17 threaded in the suspending bolt 2 into close contact with the lower surface of the overhang part 15A of the suspension fitment 15.

    • PURPOSE: To minimize the amount of a gas refrigerant entering an upper space in a container and reduce a flow rate of the gas refrigerant an inlet tube by opening an inlet tube and an outlet tube into the upper space above a liquid refrigerant stored at a lower part in the oblong container and connecting a bypass tube allowing only the gas refrigerant to flow therethrough to both the inlet tube and the outlet tube. CONSTITUTION: An inlet tube 10 and an outlet tube 11 of an accumulator 8 are connected to each other in the vicinity of a container 81 by a bypass tube 12 allowing only a gas refrigerant to flow therethrough. By means of this connection, the gas refrigerant is partly diverted at a diverting part where the inlet tube 10 is connected to the bypass tube 12, and only a part of the gas refrigerant thus diverted passes through the bypass tube 12 to flow into the outlet tube 11 while the remaining gas refrigerant accompanied with the mist of a liquid refrigerant enters an upper space 82 of the accumulator 8. As a result, a small amount of the gas refrigerant flows into the container 81. Accordingly, a flow rate of the gas refrigerant also becomes slow, and the mist 83 of the liquid refrigerant is efficiently separated from the gas refrigerant in the upper space 82 to be dropped under its own weight and to be stayed on the bottom of the container 81. Therefore, only the gas refrigerant can be sucked into the outlet tube 11.

CONSTITUTION:With the air conditioner, a ceiling panel 8 that faces the inside of a room 9 is installed at the lower section of a case main body 2 buried in the ceiling 1. And when a blower 6 is driven by a motor 5 during the operation, the air in the room 9 goes from the suction port 3 to a heat exchanger 7, and the conditioned air here cooled or heated is blown out from a blow-out port 4 into the room 9. At this time the drain generated during the cooling drops down into a drain pan 10 and then is discharged through a drain groove 10a. In this case a high pressure coolant piping 2 that is connected to the heat exchanger 7 is inserted into the drain groove 10a. With this arrangement the temperature of the low temperature coolant in the drain groove is raised by the high pressure, high temperature coolant in the high pressure coolant piping 21, and the dew condensation of the moisture is prevented.
