    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easy a maintenance and administration for preventing a leakage from a gas tank, etc., and to reduce a generating amount of a surplus sludge by converting a high concn. solid matter-containing waste water into an org. acid by an acid fermentation, returning a sludge to the acid fermentation stage after a solid-liq. separation and treating a filtrate at a denitrification- denitration or a denitration-denitrification stage. SOLUTION: A raw water is supplied to an acid fermentation tank 1 from an inflow line 5 and converted into the org. acid by subjecting the raw water to hydrolysis/acid fermentation. Then the acid is subjected to the solid-liq. separation at a solid-liq. separator, and a digested sludge is returned to the acid fermentation tank 1 with an acid fermentation sludge return line 6. A separated liq. is treated at a denitrificating tank 3 and a nitrating tank 4 to remove a nitrogen compd. A denitrificated/nitrated sludge is separated with the solid-liq. separator and returned to the denitirificating tank 3 by interposing a nitrated/denitrificated sludge return line 7. A treated water removed the nitrogen compd. is discharged from a treated liq. discharge line 8.

    • PURPOSE:To promote the self weight increasing of sludge not only in an aerobic state but in an anaerobic state and effectively execute treatment of waste water by adding a sulfur component to the waste water in the waste water treating device for self-granulation of the sludge. CONSTITUTION:The waste water 6 is supplied to the top of an oxygen dissolving vessel 4 and is brought into contact with oxygen or air 8 supplied from the bottom thereof. The waste water in which the oxygen or air is dissolved and which is obtd. in this vessel is supplied by a charging pump 5 into the bottom of a reaction vessel 1 where a biological treatment is executed. The growth of Beggiatoa which is the top priority species among the microorganisms to cause the self-granulation of the sludge is activated to promote the self- granulation of the sludge by adding a sulfide (Na2S, etc.) 9 to the bottom of the reaction vessel 1 under an upward current condition. The water treated in this reaction vessel 1 is discharged outside the system as treated water 10 from the part in the upper part of the reaction vessel 1 through a buffer tank 2 and is partly returned as a circulating liquid 7 to the oxygen dissolving vessel 4 by a pump 3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for treating livestock excreta, in which livestock excreta can be received even in a urine treatment facility having no energy to spare while hardly expanding the urine treatment facility, the increase of energy consumption is kept to a minimum to receive much more livestock excreta and all possible measures are taken to keep water quality safe. SOLUTION: The system for treating livestock excreta is provided with a standard denitrification facility 10 having: a first agitation tank 1 kept in an oxygen-free state; a first aeration tank 2 provided with a first aerating means; a second agitation tank 3 the volume of which is made smaller than that of the first agitation tank and which is kept in an oxygen-free state; and a re-aeration tank 4 provided with an air diffusing pipe 7, which are arranged in series in this order from the upstream side. A pyrolysis facility 18 is further arranged for pyrolyzing woody biomass 45, so that at least a part of pyrolyzed residues 46 generated in the pyrolysis facility is thrown in the denitrification facility and a throw-in type aerator 6 is used as the first aerating means, so that livestock excreta is thrown in the denitrification facility together with excreta-based sewage and denitrified without throwing diluting water in the denitrification facility. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methane fermentation tank which enables methane fermentation to be conducted while effectively removing a gas from a high- concentration sludge such as a dewatered sludge. SOLUTION: This methane fermentation tank is a horizontal anaerobic tank for conducting methane fermentation by taking thereinto a high-concentration sludge and has a sludge intake section formed at its one side and a sludge outlet section formed at the other side. In the tank, a multistage agitation blade is installed along the direction from the intake section to the outlet section so that the rotary displacement of the agitation blade develops a transfer power in the direction from the intake section to the outlet section. At the upper part of the tank, a gas reservoir space connected to a gas draw route is formed.
