    • A radio communication terminal (AT) includes a communication section for performing a radio communication with a base station, and a controller. Before performing a handoff from a first base station to another peripheral base station while receiving service information delivered by the first base station, the controller checks a progress of sequence of the service information being received. Then, the controller performs a handoff control depending on the check result. When it is determined that reception of a packet having the sequence number being received is to be completed within a certain time as a result of checking the progress, the controller suspends the handoff until the reception of the packet is completed.

The controlling and displaying instrument calculates estimated radio wave transmitting intensity in all of the combinations of bearing lines, which formed an intersection point. And the controlling and displaying instrument judges whether each of the intersection points is a real image or a virtual image based on the difference between the estimated radio wave transmitting intensity in one combination of the bearing lines formed the intersection point. And the controlling and displaying instrument displays the bearing lines and the real image and the virtual image.

A tactile sensation providing apparatus includes a touch sensor, a load detection unit for detecting a pressing load on the sensor, a tactile sensation providing unit for vibrating a face of the sensor, a tactile sensation provision control unit for controlling drive of the providing unit, and a main control unit for controlling an operation of the provision control unit based on an output of the sensor. The main control unit determines whether a predetermined area of the touch face is touched based on the output of the sensor and, when the area is touched, transmits a tactile sensation control instruction to the provision control unit. The provision control unit, upon receiving the instruction from the main control unit, controls drive of the providing unit based on the instruction and the pressing load.

    • In a control of receiving service information, a controller in a radio communication terminal (AT) controls a communication section to receive broadcast data continuously for one cycle while a broadcast service is executed. When a packet among the broadcast data can not be received for some reason, retransmission of the packet is awaited. During the waiting period, transfer rates are respectively calculated based on all previously received data and the latest data received (e.g., during the preceding 30 seconds). Then, a time until the required packet is received for the next time is estimated. Until that time, intermittent reception is performed by the radio communication terminal (AT) at an interval assigned for the radio communication terminal.
