    • Provided is a method for fabricating a rim type photomask. The method includes forming a light blocking pattern and a phase shift pattern on a substrate, forming a groove in the substrate by etching an exposed portion of the substrate using the light blocking pattern and the phase shift pattern as an etch mask, forming a mask layer filling the groove formed in the substrate, forming a mask pattern selectively exposing the groove formed in the substrate by patterning the mask layer, reducing a critical dimension (CD) of the mask pattern by irradiating ultraviolet (UV) rays onto the substrate, etching the light blocking pattern using the mask pattern having the reduced CD as an etch mask; forming a height difference by etching the phase shift pattern by a predetermined thickness from a top surface of the phase shift pattern that is exposed by the etching of the light blocking pattern; and forming a photomask including a rim region defined by the phase shift pattern having the height difference by removing the mask pattern.

    • A scanning circuit that can minimize the number of input signals and switch signals applied to row lines of a liquid crystal panel, and reduce deterioration of a circuit is disclosed. The circuit includes input signal lines and a plurality of substantially identical stages cascade-connected to the input signal lines to produce a plurality of phase delayed scanning signals. Each stage has an input terminal and an output terminal. Also, each stage is provided with output circuitry comprising a push-pull amplifier including pull-up and pull-down transistors having respective conduction paths connected in series with the output terminal thereof and respective control electrodes, the push-pull amplifier having a supply terminal for applying one of the phase delayed scanning signals, input circuitry responsive to scanning pulse applied to the input terminal for generating first and second control signals which are coupled to the control electrodes of the pull-up and pull-down transistors for conditioning the push-pull amplifier to provide output scanning pulses, and means for raising a voltage of the first control signal to be applied to the control electrode of the pull-up transistor.

    • An operational amplifier with an offset compensation function and a D/A converter employing the same for eliminating an offset voltage above a certain limit. In the operational amplifier, a current mirror is provided between a high voltage line and first and second nodes, and a current sink is provided between a third node and a low voltage line. A first transistor controls a current amount flowing from the first node to the third node, and a second transistor controls a current amount flowing the second node to the third node. An amplifier is connected between the second node and an output line to amplify a voltage signal of the output line. A mirror controller responds to the voltage signal from the output line to control the second transistor, and a sink controller responds to the voltage signal from the output line to control the current sink.

    • An improved reflection type phase modulator having reduced temperature sensitivity and reduced distortion includes two three-port circulators coupled to form a four-port circulator. A first port is connected to a first phase modulator and a second port is coupled by means of a quarter wavelength transmission line to a second phase modulator, the transmission line being resonant at an applied unmodulated carrier frequency. The first and second phase modulators are coupled to receive a modulation signal. A third port of the circulator is coupled to receive the applied unmodulated carrier frequency and the fourth port provides a signal at the unmodulated carrier frequency which is phase modulated in response to the modulation signal.
