    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized terminal of low power consumption which is rarely busy and difficult to use by providing a communication means which can communicate only with a telephone set specified in advance and an input means such as a key pad for transmitting a predetermined message, displaying a message to come in with a liquid crystal or the like and reporting an incoming message to the user. SOLUTION: A radio signal received is converted to a signal of 1.15 MHz by a RF part 23 after it is amplified by an input/output amplifier 22. A base band processing part 24 performs a control of a communication protocol after modulating the signal to a base band signal. When data are received, the data are transmitted through an I/F 7. A CPU 1 successively reads out a program or data from a ROM 3 and executes a various kinds of programs by using a work memory 4. When a PHS processing part 20 receives a message, it reports a reception of the data, and the CPU 1 informs of the reception with a sound by a DA conversion part 8 and a speaker 9 and displays the message on a liquid crystal display 5.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a fault of dielectric breakdown by a method wherein an electrode formed on a semiconductor substrate with a thin insulating film interlaid is divided into a plurality in a relatively small size and each electrode thus formed is connected by a relatively slender wiring material. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor is constructed of a semiconductor layer NSD formed on the surface of a semiconductor substrate PSUB and a polysilicon layer PSi formed on said layer with a thin oxide film SiO2 acting as a dielectric interlaid, and the semiconductor substrate PSUB is constructed of a P-type substrate. An electrode formed of the polysilicon layer is divided in a relatively small size, and each divided electrode is connected to others to be one electrode electrically by a slender wiring A of aluminum or the like formed thereon. When there is any weak place of an insulating film in terms of voltage resistance, accordingly, the slender wiring material is cut off by such a current as to cause dielectric breakdown. Thereby the electrode being weak in terms of dielectric strength is cut off automatically and thus the occurrence of a fault of dielectric breakdown as the capacitor is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the voice quality of a synthetic speech by retrieving the longest matching partial text by a longest-length matching method and synthesizing a speech by using an acoustic parameter corresponding to the partial text. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with a means 2 which records couple of tests and acoustic parameters, word by word, a means 3 which compares an input text 1 to be converted into a speech with respective word texts and retrieves the longest matching partial text by the longest-length matching method, and a means 4 which synthesizes a speech by combining the acoustic parameter corresponding to the partial text. Then the input text to be converted into the speech is compared with the respective word texts at the level of a character string to select the longest partial text. Therefore, the partial text whose modulation coupling is absorbed most naturally is found among word texts. Consequently, the synthetic speech of high quality can be outputted successively.
