CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic probe consists of an ultrasonic wave vibration source and an acoustic lens 1 and performs ultrasonic flaw detection with respect to the sample 2. Then the acoustic lens 1 has a curved lens surface 1a set according to a function expression containing constants, i.e. ultrasonic wave propagation acoustic velocities CL, CW, and CD of the acoustic lens 1 as a medium for ultrasonic waves, a single medium where the sample 2 is present, and the sample 2, the distance W between the acoustic lens surface 1a on the lens axis and the surface 2a of the sample, and the distance D between the surface 2a of the sample on the lens axis and the object position F of flaw detection in the sample 2 where ultrasonic waves are focused. Then the acoustic lens surface 1a which satisfies the conditions is used to obtain the ultrasonic probe equipped with the acoustic lens 1 which focus the ultrasonic waves on one point in the sample 2.

    • PURPOSE:To economically perform the solid phase joining of a large area by removing contaminated layers of the joining surfaces and the surface of In-Sn alloy foil containing the specific quantity of Sn in vacuum and superposing the joining surfaces mutually via the In-Sn alloy foil. CONSTITUTION:Materials 1 and 2 (copper, etc.) to be joined and insert material (the In-Sn alloy foil) 3 are set up in a joining chamber 4. The insert material 3 is composed of the In-Sn alloy foil containing 25-75wt.% Sn. The inside of the joining chamber 4 is evacuated in a vacuum (about 10 Torr) state and Ar gas, etc., with high purity are flowed in atom sources 5 and 6 and projected on the surface of the insert material 3 set up on the joining surface of an upper material 1 to be joined and a lower material 2 to be joined. At this time, the contaminated layers on the surfaces are removed. Next, the upper material 1 to be joined is descended and subjected to solid-phase joining to the insert material 3. The upper material 1 to be joined is raised and the upper and lower materials 1 and 2 to be joined are subjected to solid-phase joining to each other via the insert material 3 by operating in the same way. In this way, the solid phase joining of the large area can be economically performed.
