摘要： An ice-making system is adapted to operate within a section of a refrigeration appliance where the ice-making system and the ice made in the ice-making system are exposed to a temperature greater than zero degrees Centigrade. When installed in the fresh food compartment of a refrigerator that also has a freezer section compartment, the refrigeration system furnishes a cooling effect to the freezer compartment sufficient to maintain the freezer compartment at a temperature of zero degrees or less and separately furnish to the ice-making unit a cooling effect sufficient to freeze water for making ice in the ice-making unit of the ice-making system. The ice-making system can include a reservoir that is operatively associated with the ice-making unit of the ice-making system for delivering water to the ice-making unit and for receiving water returned from the ice-making unit.

摘要： A transmission system in a downhole component comprises a plurality of data transmission elements. A coaxial cable having an inner conductor and an outer conductor is disposed within a passage in the downhole component such that at least one capacitor is disposed in the passage and having a first terminal coupled to the inner conductor and a second terminal coupled to the outer conductor. Preferably the transmission element comprises an electrically conducting coil. Preferably, within the passage a connector is adapted to electrically connect the inner conductor of the coaxial cable and the lead wire. The coaxial capacitor may be disposed between and in electrically communication with the connector and the passage. In another embodiment a connector is adapted to electrical connect a first and a second portion of the inner conductor of the coaxial cable and a coaxial capacitor is in electrical communication with the connector and the passage.

摘要： A method for purifying bisimides is provided. In one aspect, purified oxybisphthalimides, intermediates useful in the preparation of polyetherimides are provided. In one embodiment, a first solution containing a bisimide compound, a solvent, and a phase transfer catalyst is contacted with a solid inorganic adsorbent material having a total pore volume of about 0.5 milliliters/gram or greater and a cumulative pore volume distribution of about 20 percent or greater of particles having a pore diameter in a range between about 3 nanometers and about 20 nanometers. The solution containing the bisimide compound is then separated from the solid inorganic adsorbent material to provide a purified bisimide compound which is substantially free of the phase transfer catalyst. The purification technique is especially valuable for preparing high purity oxybisphthalimides, such as 4,4′-oxybis(N-methylphthalimide), which are substantially free of residual phase transfer catalyst.

A running average tilt value is stored and used to modify the logical seek distance used in a Rotational Position Optimization (RPO) algorithm to better order I/O requests in a queue. Also, the running average tilt value can be used by the servo to pre-position the target head before electrical contact is made with the target head, to improve speed of operation.

The electrical interconnection network has a plurality of electrically and thermally conductive vias in electrical communication with terminals of at least one semiconductor device. At the upper layer the vias are electrically isolated from each other. In some embodiments the electrically insulating heat spreader is a polycrystalline diamond body with a metallized undersurface. The metallized undersurface may be etched away between vias.
