    • A drive system with at least on power storage device and at least on motor intermittently energized and de-energized through coupling tot he at least one power storage device. The drive having at least on weighted drive member coupled to the at least one motor. An at least one energy recovery device returns energy to the at least one power storage device when the motor is energized or when the motor is de-energized by intermittently engaging the at least one weighted drive member. The system also comprises a drive unit coupled to said at least one weighted drive member such that the motor drives the at least one weighted drive member which in turn drives the drive train wherein when the at least one weighted drive member is disengaged from the drive train. The motor can remain in an energized state or become de=energized and energy recover through the at least one energy recover device can continue to return energy to the power storage device so long as the weighted drive member is driven.

    • A generic product finder system that provides the capability of managing and performing searches on configurable products in a J2EE application. The generic product finder system includes a manager component for performing searches in response to a search query; a product component for persisting a plurality of product information and interacting with the manger component in conducting searches of the product information; a product metadata component that interacts with the manager component for defining a product; and a search configuration component that interacts with the manager component for constructing a set of search rules in a product search configuration. Internally, the product finder system represents products with a specification divided into parameters representing characteristics and optional attributes. This specification exists in a generic state by the use of Java objects. Multiple product specifications may co-exist and their information is persisted by the use of entity beans. The generic product also contains a session bean that acts as manager and single point-of-entry to the product information. Since the products are maintained in a generic form, search rules can be constructed and applied to the product set to perform complex queries.

    • A preferred method for generating a transformer model includes defining a data base by selecting a first and a second set of parameters for inclusion in the data base, the first set of parameters being representative of at least one of as-designed and as-built transformer data, the second set of parameters being representative of transformer performance data. The preferred method also includes storing data from a plurality of transformers in the data base, the data from a plurality of transformers corresponding to the first and second sets of parameters. The preferred method further includes determining interrelationships between the first and second sets of parameters by analyzing the data from a plurality of transformers using multivariate statistical analysis.
