摘要： A stair tread has a clip with a central web and a pair of edge flanges provided with a central reinforcing rod secured to one of the flanges and a rim reinforcing frame secured to the other of the flanges. The central web has an opening therein through which a bolt extends into a nut on the inside of the clip. The clip and rod and frame as well as a bolted nut are placed into a mold and the reinforcements are embedded in concrete. Prior to the final hardening of the concrete the bolt is removed leaving the nut and the reinforcements embedded. Removal is preferably accomplished by inverting the mold. There can be openings through the concrete of the tread adjacent a portion of the rim reinforcing frame to receive uprights for supporting stair rails.

Each half tread includes an outwardly extending portion which terminates in a plane which is forward of a plane passing through the front edges of the treads. First and second handrails are disposed in this forward plane and affixed to the outwardly extending tread portions. In an alternative embodiment, a single outside handrail is employed, the cylindrical wall providing a body support in place of an inside handrail.

摘要： A stairway capable of being shipped in a knock-down condition and erected with a minimum of labor and without special tools is disclosed. The stairway comprises a square tubular elongated support member having mounting brackets at each end enabling it to be mounted in inclined relation between different levels of a structure. A plurality of step assemblies are clamped in spaced relation onto the support member. Each step assembly includes a tread support having a horizontal load bearing portion and an angulated integral strut portion both fastened to a mounting flange which engages the topside of the support member. A locking sleeve surrounds the bottom and side walls of the support member and has outturned flanges which are fastened to the mounting plate by bolts. In one embodiment, the bottom of the locking sleeve has a slight upward convexity which flexes elastically when the bolts are tightened to maintain clamping pressure against the support member. In another embodiment the bottom of the locking sleeve engages flush against the bottom of the support member and the locking sleeve flanges are spaced from the mounting flange and flexed to provide the clamping action.

摘要： A floating modular stair system includes a wall mounting plate that is attachable to a vertical wall, and a base mounting plate that is anchorable to a horizontal floor. A monostringer beam is attachable to the wall mounting plate and to the base mounting plate. The monostringer beam includes an integrated hook attachment for variable angle adjustment and attachment to the wall mounting plate. Stair tread brackets are attachable to the monostringer beam for equal spacing of stair treads after installation of the monostringer beam to the wall mounting plate and to the base mounting plate. Each of the stair tread brackets are also designed for individual variable angle adjustment and leveling after attachment to the monostringer beam, and the stair tread brackets are rotatable through an adjustable anchor point about a fixed pivot anchor point to level the stair treads of the floating modular stair system.
