    • A cooling fan motor drive apparatus for use in vehicle is equipped with first to fourth semiconductor switches for driving first and second cooling fan motors upon receipt of a power supply voltage through power supply lines. A control unit implements control on openings and closures of the first to fourth switches to establish first and second power supply systems between first and second power supply lines for performing serial and parallel operations of the first and second cooling fan motors. The control unit closes the second and fourth semiconductor switches when the first and second cooling fan motors are driven in series and closes the first, second and third semiconductor switches when the first and second cooling fan motors are drive in parallel. When an overcurrent flows in the cooling fan motors, the control unit conducts the serial operation of the cooling fan motors irrespective of an operation command signal, and at the start-up of the drive apparatus, the control unit conducts the serial operation thereof for a predetermined time period. This drive apparatus can be located in the vicinity of the cooling fan motors and, even if an abnormal condition occurs temporarily, can restore to a normal condition after the recovery.

    • A refrigeration system for cooling a logic module includes an evaporator housing including an evaporator block in thermal communication with the logic module. The evaporator housing includes a humidity sensor for detecting a humidity within the evaporator housing. The system further comprises a controller for controlling a refrigeration unit supplying cold refrigerant to the evaporator block in response to the operating conditions of the logic module and the temperature of the evaporator block. In another aspect of the invention, two modular refrigeration units are independently operable to cool the evaporator block, and each refrigeration unit is controllable in various modes of operation including an enabled mode in which it is ready to cool the evaporator and an on mode in which it is actively cooling the evaporator. In another aspect of the invention, the evaporator block and a heater on a reverse side of the circuit board are particularly controlled during concurrent repair operations. In another aspect of the invention, faulty sensors are recognized as such and an appropriate response is made. In another aspect of the invention, the system is shut down in a manner allowing rapid access to the logic module.

    • The present invention discloses an air-cargo container (1), which is equipped with a modular refrigerating unit (24). The refrigerating unit (24) is attachable into the container shell in substantially one piece. Preferably, a control unit (26) for the modular refrigerating unit (24) is also provided as one single module. The refrigerating unit (24) comprises the entire enclosure of an airflow path around an icebox, and is preferably mounted at a small distance from the wall (20) and ceiling (10) of the container (1). Simple positioning elements facilitate the actual positioning and mounting procedure. The refrigerating unit (24) preferably comprises sealing flanges which during mounting by the positioning elements automatically are fitted into elements at the container wall (20). A manufacturing method is also disclosed, which comprises mounting of modular units (24, 26) into a shell of an air-cargo container (1). The mounting is preferably performed by using positioning elements, which guides the modular units (24, 26) into the proper positions.
