摘要： A storage unit providing a storage space and method of forming a door and frame for a storage unit are disclosed. The storage unit comprises a base, a panel movable between an open position and a closed position, and a retaining member. The retaining member is configured for movement between a first position and a second position, the first position being vertically and horizontally offset from the second position. The retaining member engages the base when the panel is in the closed position and the retaining member is in the first position. The method comprises machining a first groove on a first surface of a sheet, and machining a second groove on a second surface opposite the first surface and at least partially offset with the first groove. The door is then rotated so that the first surface of the door is generally in the same plane as the second surface of the frame.

摘要： A door apparatus for opening and closing two doors supported on a horizontal door rail includes an actuator connected to one of the two doors for driving the same, a direction conversion mechanism connected to the other of the two doors for transmitting a movement of the actuator to the other door to move the same and having an engaging portion formed of a first stage and a second stage, and a locking mechanism having a latch engaging the direction conversion mechanism for locking the two doors and non-engaging the direction conversion mechanism for allowing the two doors to open. The latch engages the first stage of the engaging portion to semi-lock the doors to be able to open manually, and engages the second stage of the engaging portion to lock the doors completely.

摘要： An external window shutter for use in front of an exterior window opening includes a frame surrounding the window opening and is attached to an exterior wall surface. The shutter has two panels that are movably mounted on the frame. The panels are mounted generally parallel to the wall surface and to the frame, and are actuatable along a path of travel between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The shutter includes a first guide member attached to respective upper and lower portions of a window facing surface of each panel and extending substantially along the entire length of each panel; and a second guide member attached to respective upper and lower portions of an outwardly disposed surface of the frame and extending substantially along the entire length of the upper and lower portions of said outwardly disposed surface of the frame. The guide members each have complementary engager parts shaped to slidably engage each other for moving the panels along the path of travel, the engager parts being located on the same side of the frame. The panels, when positioned together in the closed configuration, substantially enclose the frame.

The interlock includes a number of stacked locking bars located adjacent to the rails and a separate locking slide mounted adjacent to each rail in alignment with the locking bars. The homing device includes a separate pivot arm mounted to each rail that moves between open and closed positions when the corresponding rail is extended or retracted. The pivot arm includes an actuator pin that operates the corresponding locking slide. When the homing device is opened, the arm and actuator pin move the locking slide into a locked position thereby locking the locking bars and preventing additional rails from being opened. When the homing device is closed, the arm and actuator pin move the locking slide into an unlocked position thereby releasing the locking bars.

A nut is attached to the at least one door leaf and a spindle extends through the nut. A freewheel is mounted on an end of the spindle, wherein the freewheel has a component which is stationary relative to but capable of rotating together with the spindle. A releasable brake or clutch is provided for preventing rotation of the freewheel component.
