    • The invention relates to a clamp coupling for coupling pairs of pipes. Such clamp couplings are used, for example, for coupling concrete conduits from concrete pumps. Said clamp coupling (10) comprises two coupling clamps (16, 18) which, in the coupling state, define a circular opening (14) for the pipe. Said coupling clamps can be pivoted against each other at one of their ends by means of an outer joint (20), and comprise a closing mechanism (26) which is arranged on their other end. In order to be able to fix the clamp coupling (10), even in confined spaces, the closing mechanism (26) comprises a closing hook (30) which, in the closed state, positively grasps a supporting rod (24) on the other coupling clamp (16), and pulls the coupling clamps (16, 18) towards each other at their point of separation (28) opposite the joint (20). During the opening process, the closing hook (30) can be lifted from the supporting rod (24) and pivoted out of its active region about a pivoting axis (32) which is perpendicular to the joint axis (22). The closing mechanism (26) also comprises a clamping lever (36) which can be pivoted in relation to the coupling clamp about a lever axis (34) which is perpendicular to the joint axis. Said clamping lever also interacts with the closing hook (30).
