    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a miniaturized apparatus wherein a packaging machine and a palletizer are integrated.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which heats the body of a thermoplastic preform to manufacture a container by blow molding or stretching blow molding while the body of the preform is moved to trace a predetermined route and a method which efficiently heats the body of the preform to eliminate a danger to an electromagnetic radiation source.
      SOLUTION: The apparatus which heats the body of the thermoplastic preform to blow mold the container has at least one infrared electromagnetic radiation source 5 which is positioned at the side of the route T traced by the body 1 of the preform 2 and directed toward the position E on the route T. The infrared electromagnetic radiation source 5 is inclined at an angle α of about 60 to 10°, preferably not more than about 45° to the tangent line 6 of the route T at the position E. Therefore, in the heating apparatus, the electromagnetic radiation is not so reflected toward the electromagnetic radiation source 5 but can pass several plate bodies or the part of the body.
