摘要： A method and apparatus for generating a thumbnail in a size requested by an application at high definition and high speed to browse a digital image are provided. An original image is partially decoded to generate a first thumbnail and the first thumbnail is partially decoded to generate a second thumbnail in a size requested by an application. Accordingly, a digital image is displayed on a full screen using a stored thumbnail instead of decoding an original image, and therefore, a large-capacity high-definition image can be displayed quickly. In addition, to display a thumbnail in various sizes, a small size of the thumbnail is not enlarged but the thumbnail having a size approximate to a full screen size is reduced. Accordingly, degradation of picture quality is decreased.

The transfer belt unit includes a transfer belt circulating and traveling and transferring a toner image formed on a photosensitive body onto a printable medium. A plurality of support rollers support an inner circumference of the transfer belt. A pair of belt guides respectively attached to both edges of the inner circumference of the transfer belt are engaged with a regulating portion disposed in the support rollers to allow the transfer belt to travel in a substantially straight line and each having a joint portion. The joint portion comprises first and second ends separated from each other to be substantially parallel to each other when inclined with respect to a traveling direction of the transfer belt. The second end is located in a posterior position of the first end with respect to the traveling direction of the transfer belt and an external edge of the second end is chamfered.

摘要： An optical bench is provided, as are a thin optical pickup that employs the optical bench, and a method of manufacturing the optical bench. The optical bench includes a light source for generating light for recording and reproducing information to and from an optical disc, a light source stand on which the light source is mounted, a mirror adjacent to the light source stand, and a bottom surface at a lower point than the light source stand and between the light source stand and the mirror surface. Sides of the light source stand besides the side facing the mirror are connected to the surface of the substrate by a flat sloped surface. Along the sloped surface, two electrodes for supplying power to the light source are connected to the light source stand. Since the metal wirings are formed along the sloped surface without trenches or windings between the light source stand and the silicon substrate, no disconnection of metal lines at a corner occurs.
