    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for a laser light collector which can highly efficiently make a laser beam incident on a waveguide system of an optical circuit, etc., only through irreducible adjustments and efficiently cool a semiconductor laser bar.
      SOLUTION: A holding member 20 is provided integrally with a 1st positioning part 24 which is a trapezoidal projection and a 2nd positioning member 26 which has a recessed part 29 between two projections 28. A rod lens 14 can be positioned by being fitted in the recessed part 29. The semiconductor laser bar 12 can be positioned heightwise by being arranged with its active layer side directed to the peak part of the 1st positioning part 24, thereafter only by setting the distance between the semiconductor laser bar 12 and rod lens 14, the positioning of the semiconductor laser bar 12 and rod lens 14 in the laser light collector 10 is easily completed. The semiconductor laser bar 12 has its active layer side as a heat generating source brought into contact with the holding member 20, so cooling efficiency is good.
