    • PURPOSE:To simplify control for assembling and disassembling a modular tool by providing the tool assembly device wherein a space between a retaining arm for holding the tool and a connection drive device is made equal to a space between the connection edge of a module and a connection part. CONSTITUTION:An old modular tool 11 exchanged between a main spindle 2 and a tool magazine 4 shifts to a tool assembly position, thereby being opposed to a tool automatic assembly device 6. In this stage, an assembly device 34 advances, the circular groove 24 of a cutter part module 14 is held with a retaining arm 35 and the connection of the tightened part 23 of an adapter module 13 is released with a nut runner 36. Similarly, the connection 23 of a holder module 12 is furthermore released and the modular tool 11 is disassembled. Then, the modular tool 11 is assembled in a sequence reverse to the aforesaid process. In this case, a space (b) between the retaining arm 35 and the nut runner 36 is set to be equal to a space (a) between connection edges 12a and 13a, and the connection part 23. According to the aforesaid system, the modular tool 11 can be disassembled and assembled automatically. Also, the control of disassembly and assembly becomes easy and a device can be simplified.

CONSTITUTION:A tool insertion holding part 19 is installed on the top of an annular table 12 as a tapered through hole, and such a tool as being smaller in a diameter of a cutting edge art 5 than that of a collar part 4 like a drill 1 is held thereat. And, an inner peripheral edge has a tool engaged holding part 20 consisting of each notch of flat parts 20a and 20a, and such a tool being larger in a diameter of the cutting edge part 5 than that of the collar part 4 like a milling cutter 2. A table 12 is being locked to a support frame 17 and rotates and indexes with an index motor 14 via a transmission mechanism and a rotary shaft 16, and positioned at a tool delivery position, but even if it is rotated at high speed, the small diametral tool is inserted into the tape through hole and held firmly while the large diametral tool is pressed to a recess part of the notch part even centrifugal force works there, so that these tools are surely held up.

    • PURPOSE:To make possible to automatically assemble and disassemble a modular tool, by horizontally and vertically moving modular tool components and by successively clamping them with the use of a swivelling assembly head so that modulars are coupled with each other. CONSTITUTION:A traverser mechanism 6 is provided to a support bed 5 attached to the side part of the tool magazine 1. The support bed 5 is mounted thereon with a guide rail 7 and a screw rod 8 in parallel with each other, the screw rod 8 being provided with a horizontally movable member 9 which is movable in the horizontal direction along the guide rail 7. Further, the horizontally movable member 9 is provided with a vertically movable member 10 which is movable in the vertical direction, and which is attached thereto with an assembly head 11. Further, a nut runner 12 is provided at one side of a tool magazine 1, and is set on the upper surface of a retractable moving table 13, retractably and extendably to and from a tool storage section 4.

    • PURPOSE:To easily perform work tightening and loosening an edge tool for a holding tool, by providing the edge tool, which holds a tip performing cutting of a cutting tool, and the holding tool of column shape detachably holding said edge tool. CONSTITUTION:An edge tool 2 detachably holds a tip 1 performing cutting. A holding tool 3 is formed in a column shape, and the holding tool 3 forms in its one end part a fitting hole 13 removably holding the edge tool 2 in the axial direction. FUrther the holding tool forms a threaded hole 14 crossing at a right angle with the fitting hole 13 further screws a fixing screw 15, fixing the edge tool 2 fitted to the fitting hole 13, to be mounted to said threaded hole 14. While the holding tool provides along a peripheral direction in the peripheral part a circular annular guide groove 16, including an opening part of the threaded hole 14, to be engraved guiding the end part of a nut runner 19 driving the fixing screw 15. Further the holding tool 3 is formed by plural divided tools, and each divided tool provides in its connection part the construction equal to the fitting and fixing construction of the edge tool 2 for the holding tool 3.

CONSTITUTION:A drill break detecting device provides an attractive part 4, attracting a chip 3 generated from a work 2 by drilling it by a drill 1, and an infrared rays detecting part 5 detecting approach of the chip 3, attracted to the attractive part 4, to be converted into an electric signal. Further this device has an amplifier circuit 6 amplifying an electric signal SA output from the infrared rays detecting part 5, integrating circuit 7 integrating an electric signal SB output from this amplifier circuit 6, comparator circuit 8 comparing an integrated value signal SC from this integrating circuit 7 with a threshold value and a timing signal output circuit 10 connecting its input side with a control part 9 of a drilling machine and outputting a timing signal SD, SD' to the integrating circuit 7 and the comparator circuit 8. While the device has an alarm circuit 11 inputting a drill break detection signal SE and generating an alarm.
