    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion carrying type local dust removing system easy in maintenance and excellent in work efficiency. SOLUTION: A soft X-ray generator 3 being an ionizing source is arranged in a chamber 1 and an ion carrying gas is supplied into the chamber 1 to be ionized by soft X-rays. Further, a positive high voltage is applied to the filter electrode 6 provided in the vicinity of the outlet of the chamber 1 and the back electrode 7 provided on the inner wall surface of the chamber 1 from a high voltage source 9 to absorb the negative ions among the positive and negative ions generated in the chamber 1 by the filter electrode 6 and the back electrode 7 while allowing only the positive ions to flow in a carrying tube 8. On the other hand, a collection plate 10 comprising a conductor is arranged to a region from which dust must be removed to be charged so as to have polarity inverse to that of the high voltage source 9.
