The second memory section stores second storage data selected out of the second data piece and the first storage data received from the first memory section. The driver section is configured to drive data lines of a display panel in response to the first and second storage data stored in the first and second memory sections, respectively.

摘要： A controller/driver for driving main and sub display panels is composed of first and second memory sections, a color reduction circuit, and a data line driver circuit. The first and second memory sections are used as multipurpose display memories. When the controller/driver is placed in a second mode, on the other hand, the first and second memory sections store sub and main image data respectively associated with images to be displayed on main and sub display panels.

摘要： A control driver for a liquid crystal display panel includes: an operation circuit, an LUT (Look-up Table), and a linear interpolation D/A converter. The operation circuit performs a certain operation on input image data to generate operation data, and outputs higher order bit data and lower order bit data of the operation data. The LUT includes a V-T (Voltage-Transmittance) characteristic of the liquid crystal display panel, and outputs first output data and second output data as display data based on the higher order bit data and the V-T characteristic. The linear interpolation D/A converter performs an linear interpolation operation and D/A conversion to generate output voltage supplied to the liquid crystal display panel in response to the first output data, the second output data and the lower order bit data.
