    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to produce a long filter-reinforced resin structure that is free from any bubbles and has an enough strength, by immersing a continuous bundle of filaments in a resin solution in a impregnating tank thereby impregnating the bundle with the resin solution, and winding tank thereby impregnating the bundle with the resin solution, and winding the bundle around a jig or winding mold placed in the impregnating tank to form a laminate. CONSTITUTION:An impregnating tank is formed with a stepped section, and a jig 11 for laminating a bundle of long filaments impregnated with a resin is positioned in the resin impregnating tank 12. The long filament bundle 15 is unwound to be immersed in the impregnating tank 12. The impregnation of the filament bundle 15 with a resin solution 13 is carried out by passing the bundle 15 through a plurality of guide roller 14 successively. The bundle impregnated with the resin is then wound around the jig 11 to be laminated. The thus obtained long filter-reinforced resin structure is free from any bubbles and high in mechanical strength because the continuous filaments are impregnated with the resin and wound without exposing them to the atmosphere.

    • PURPOSE: To enable a three-dimensional structural body having a large internal space to be produced without leaving forming members therein, by using a three-dimensional former made of a material which can be physically or chemically melted or ruptured.
      CONSTITUTION: The three-dimensional former is prepared which is formed of a material capable of being melted or decayed by, for example, water, a solvent, heat or light and is provided with a winding groove or winding pins on the outer surface thereof. A bundle of continuous fibers such as carbon fibers and glass fibers impregnated with a resin is wound around the former by fitting it in the winding groove or engaging it to the winding pins. After hardening the resin of the fiber bundle, the former is removed from the wound fiber bundle by melting or decaying the former, thereby producing a three- dimensional fiber-reinforced resin structural body having a large internal space. Accordingly, a three-dimensional structural body extremely light in weight and having high stiffness, particularly, a structural body having a large internal space, such as a cylindrical frame body, can be produced.

    • PURPOSE: To enable a bent or curved three-dimensional structural body to be produced without leaving forming members therein, by using plate ends each of which is formed by jointing split members to each other by an adhesive so that the split members can be separated from each other by an impact.
      CONSTITUTION: The bond strength of the split members 6 is so set that the plate ends 1 can be broken up by a relatively light impact. Then, a support jig 2 bent zigzag is prepared, and, for example, 5 plate ends 1... are arranged non-linearly by inserting them into recessed parts 4... provided at bend parts or the like of the jig 2. A bundle of continuous fibers such as carbon fibers and glass fibers is impregnated with an epoxy resin solution, and the resin- impregnated fiber bundle is wound by fitting in notched parts 3... of the plate ends 1.... After winding, the bundle of the resin-impregnated fibers is hardened by appropriate heating. Thereafter, a light impact is applied to the plate ends 1 by a bar or the like, thereby breaking up the plate ends 1, and the split members 6 are removed from the inside of the wound fiber bundle to produce a three-dimensional structural body 5.

Then, the core body is demounted from a taking-up jig and transferred onto a steering-wheel shaping mold, and the core body is covered with unsaturated polyester resin, and heated and pressed to obtain a steering wheel.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce a void in the inside of an FRP product, by a method wherein long fiber is taken up after it has been unwound and immersed into a resin impregnating tank while a vibrator fitted to a jig is being oscillated, which is made to heat and cure under predetermined terms.
      CONSTITUTION: After continuous long fiber 2 taken up on a taken-up tool (bobbin) 1 has been immersed into a resin impregnation tank 7 by rollers 3, 4 and movable rollers 5, 6 is taken up on a take-up jig 9 in a predetermined shape by removing a resinous liquid stuck excessively by passing through a die 8. In this instance, a vibrator 10 is fitted to the take-up jig 9 and the continuous long fiber 2 is taken up while a vibration is being given to the same. Then an FRP product is obtained by a method wherein either the take-up jig 9 is put into a heating device as it is or the same is put into the heating device after a core material removed from the take-up jig 8 has been shifted to a desired mold, which is made to heat and cure under predetermined terms.

Then a gap is made to form between the mandrel 1 and a product by pulling out the resin film 2 in the direction of axis of the mandrel 1 along with pulling-out of the pin 4. With this construction, mold release of a fiber-reinforced resin structural member can be peformed from the mandrel without damaging the same.

Pins 8 on which fiber bundles are wound up are arranged in said notch 7. After continuous fibers such as carbon fibers or the like are immersed in epoxy resin or the similar, the resin immersed fiber bundle of the continuous fibers is wound up to make layers along the winding groove 6. A ring part is thus made up. A forked part from which spoke extends is formed at the notch part 7 by arranging the fiber bundles tightly by use of the pins 8. The forked part of the spoke part from the ring part will therefore be prevented from producing a clearance.
