    • A relatively low cost twist drill sharpener apparatus employable with a rotary grinding wheel has a twist drill alignment fixture which positions the drill with respect to the drill holding chuck. The twist drill holding chuck has mounted thereto one or a pair of cam elements which cooperate with a sharpener fixture which is adjustable for height, pivotal motion and backward and forward motion relative to the rotary grinding wheel. The fixture has mounted thereto a second cam and is adapted to receive the twist drill chuck and control the grinding of the twist drill when the chuck is pressed toward the face of the grinding wheel and rotated clockwise. The fixture and the chuck are also adapted to receive a wheel dressing element.

    • An improvement in an electrophotographic copying machine having a movable photoconductor web rotatably mounted on at least a pair of rollers, the web having an insulative support layer, an electrically conductive layer disposed on the support layer, and a photoconductive layer disposed on the electrically conductive layer.     • Color imparting compositions for ink jet printer inks, as well as inks with such color imparting compositions therein, which can be used in a commercially available ink jet printer or the ink jet printer of a postage metering system to print machine readable information based indicia, such as postage, on a substrate, such as an envelope, are disclosed. The color imparting composition includes a water soluble black colorant material adapted to absorb light in a wavelength range between about 400 to 650 nm, such as Reactive Black 31 dye or Direct Black 195 dye, and a water soluble cyan colorant material having a molar extinction coefficient of at least 10,000 at a wavelength maximum in the range of about 580 to 750 nm, such as Direct Blue 307, Direct Blue 199 or Acid Blue 9. The weight ratio of the black colorant material to the cyan colorant material in the color imparting composition is in the range of about 50 to 1 to about 5 to 6.

    • A polyurethane foam is used in combination with an ink tray having a housing having a first and second chamber. The first chamber has an overflow baffle extending laterally within said chamber to divide the first chamber into an inlet side and an outlet side. An inlet port is provided for receiving replenishing ink in the inlet side of the chamber and an outlet port is provided for removal of excess ink from said ink tray. A plurality of portals extending between the first and second chambers for directing replenishing ink to the second chamber from the inlet side of the first chamber and excess replenishing ink from the second chamber to the outlet side of the first chamber. An elongated inking roller is mounted to the housing. The absorption material is mounted in the second chamber to contact the replenishing ink. The absorption material has a portion extending from the second chamber and contacting the inking roller to allow the transfer of replenishing ink to the inking roller. The inking roller is also composed of a polyurethane foam.
