    • Remedies for abnormalities in eating attitudes caused by anorexia nervosa. Although it has been a practice to use tranquilizers, etc. for treating mental symptoms characteristic of anorexia nervosa typified by abnormalities in eating attitudes, such as refusal of food, intentional vomiting and eating in secret, only poor effects can be achieved thereby. The administration of the above-mentioned remedies, i.e., human growth hormone (hGH) preparations makes it possible to impart the spontaneous will to eat to those who can get nourishment exclusively by passive means such as compulsory nutritional education or nasal feeding. These remedies are particularly efficacious against eating disturbance of anorexia nervosa seemingly based on the hypersecretion in the central growth hormone releasing factor (GRH)-hGH secretion system.

    • A method of assaying a specific antibody comprising the steps of: (A) forming a complex composed of a labeled antigen, a specific antibody and a carrier-borne antigen in a first reaction system comprising a mixture of the labeled antigen, the carrier-borne antigen and a sample solution containing the specific antibody, said labeled antigen being an antigen against a specific antibody to be assayed and being bonded to a labeled substance in advance, and said carrier-borne antigen being an antigen against said specific antibody and being bonded to a carrier in advance, (B) separating the carrier after the reaction from the first reaction system and mixing the separated carrier with the labeled antigen to prepare a second reaction system, and (C) separating the carrier after the reaction from the second reaction system and determining the amount of the labeled substance bonded to the separated carrier. A complete complex composed of the labeled antigen, the specific antibody and the carrier-borne antigen can be formed in the first reaction system for the reaction among both of said antigens and said antibody by mixing both of said antigens and the sample solution containing said antibody. Further, when an incomplete complex composed of the carrier-borne antigen and the specific antibody is present in the second reaction system, said complete complex can be formed by separating the carrier after the reaction from the first reaction system and mixing the separated carrier with the labeled antigen. Accordingly, the determination of the amount of the labeled substance bonded to the carrier separated after the reaction from the second reaction system enables the target specific antibody to be assayed with high sensitivity by solving the problem of prozoning.
